How this person became a doctor. I was having serious seizures and he says, "It's not anything that I did" as he treated me for de-hydration instead, which is horrible when you have a full bladder and you can't speak or express yourself because you are frozen from seizure activity. I was in the hospital, he should have called someone in from neurology and had me admitted for a proper diagnosis. Instead he released me from the emergency room and my husband and I, both unfamiliar and uneducated as to what a seizure was or how it presented, were sent home without out any help. It was an awful experience. We now know that I have a seizure disorder, and we understand better the condition. This doctor was scared, dismissive and absolutely unprofessional, he was no help at all.

This doctor is awful. His bedside manor is abrasive and lacking in any sort of empathy. He is the LAST doctor you ever want treating you for an emergency.

low heart rate due to my high blood pressure on August 1, 2023. Went to fair oaks hospital Dr. Patrick Meehan walks in and asks if I was partying and do I use COCAINE! (As a joke) what in the world is this man talking about? How rude, an extremely unprofessional...And to think that saying something like is ok... is extremely disrespectful I looked at my sister and was baffled by the comment. My sister had to leave but trust me i was uncomfortable.

My son had a fever over 102 for over 5 days with extreme headaches. We took him to urgent care where they took blood test and administered medicine for pain, this was Friday. On Sunday his condition continued and we took him to Fair Oaks ER where he saw Dr Meehan. I told him about the fever and headaches and that we had gone to Urgent Care. He then stated " So why are you here" I told him my family doctor suggested this may be Meningitis and he should have a Spinal Tap. He said, no way this is Meningitis, his neck is not that stiff and a Spinal Tap would be a waste of time. He sent us home with more pain medication and said it is some type of virus and will work itself out. After his condition did not improve, we returned to the ER four days later and I demanded a Spinal Tap and he did in fact have Viral Meningitis. He was admitted for a day and a night; however, there is no real treatment for this. You just have to treat the pain and wait it out. He has missed 8 days of… work and is still in a great deal of pain. Everyone else at Fair Oaks ER and the Hospital were great. In fact the hospital is one of the best I have visited; however, this mis-diagnosis cost my son many un-needed treatments, pain and he is still very sick.
