Dr. Patrick Alan Ruwe, MD

Saw Dr. Ruwe for the first time in the Branford office. He was excellent. He listened to every word I said and diagnosed my problem immediately. He was very gentle in giving the injection in my knee. He knew I was apprehensive/scared about that. I am feeling much better since I have seen Dr. Ruwe. I will see him again when needed.

I saw Dr. Ruwe in Nov. and it was my first apt. with the Dr. and he was a bit shot and not very personable. Ok, not all Dr's are or need to be personable but it helps. I waited almost 20 minutes to see him. I am busy so I would hope he would keep to his schedule like have to for my schedule. Dr. Ruwe did not ask a lot about my past history but I guess it was ok given he concentrated on the injury I was there to see him for. He was not very social which is fine but would like to have had a better connection to a new Dr.. He diagnosed me, gave me a script for my shoulder and sent me to PT. My follow up did not go well. My apt. was at 11:45am and I arrived at 11:49 am. I was told by the receptionist that the Dr. refused to see me because I was late! First off, the receptionist was very short and borderline rude! The fact that I had to wait 20 min to see him the first time and he canceled my apt. because I was 4 minutes late is hypercritical and absurd!! I had to drive nearly 40… min to his office so it was not like it was a short drive. I am sure he just wanted to go to lunch vs. see a new patient. Needless to say, I will get my records from the first visit and find a Dr. that cares and respects for his patients vs. his lunch plans.

My 16 year old son broke his leg playing basketball and the experience we had with Dr. Ruwe was incredible. I could not make a higher recommendation

I have been a patient of Dr. Ruwe's for several years. He has treated my knee pain as has performed surgery. His consultation, and explanation of any procedure is thorough, never rushed, and places the patient paramount.

I have 2 sons and Dr Ruwe has done surgery on both of them. He and his staff are professional, courteous, accommodating and available. I would highly recommend his services. My husband and I have also seen him for other issues . Can't say enough good about this practice.

From one visit to the next your (initial) diagnoses regarding my knee changed. When I questioned the discrepancy your answer was "THAT WAS ONE HUNDRED PATIENCE AGO" then went on to say "MAYBE YOU SHOULD TRY TO LOOSE SOME WEIGHT" I wasted time and hard earned money giving Dr Ruwe a chance yet came he up inconclusive leaving me with only "GOOD LUCK" as I exited his office. To all, don't waste your time with this misfit orthopedic

Dr. Ruwe has been caring for my knee situation for almost 3 years. A replacement is in my future, but he has helped me maintain function and comfort until the time is right to proceed. I have Charcot Marie Tooth disorder and Dr. Ruwe understands my special needs. He has a personal, caring, and professional manner and has helped me have a better quality of life.

I feel Dr. Ruwe is one of the Best Orthopedic Surgeons in the New Haven area. From the minute he walked in the room, he spent the time needed with me, he was knowledgeable, informative in his explanations of things, he was not rushed, running out the door. He was compassionate and made me feel assured of his diagnosis and recommendation of treatment. I am a Nurse, and I have had the experience to work with many physicians. I rate Dr. Ruwe amongst the Best!

I had one of the best experiences in a doctors office than I've had in a long time. Dr. Ruwe was not only professional and prompt but kind as well. His staff is exceptional with that extra touch of caring that goes a long way!! I would highly recommend this office.
