Dr. Patrick Daniel Vargas Villazon, MD

Dr Vargas is my father’s hospital doctor when admitted for a pulmonary embolism and DVT. It’s complicates case due to my father’s cancer. Dr Vargas asked lots of questions (intelligent questions) to understand the history of my Dad’s situation. He was very gentle and kind with him and explained everything that would be done and how they would coordinate information with the oncologist. I am cynical when it comes to the health care system (for a good reason) and Dr Vargas was one of the few physicians I feel I could trust to be thorough and interested in the cause of my Dad’s condition. Bravo Dr Vargas for your intelligence, sincerity and kindness. My dad is even happier??

Simply Dr. Vargas from Saint Alphonsus Nampa, was the only Doctor who told us what we should expect from our grandma's condition. He listened to my concerns and he patiently answered my many questions. Dr. Vargas truly wanted my grandma to have the best care and service.

My grandpa is currently hospitalized at Saint Alphonsus. The hospital is so beautiful and each nurse has been truly phenomenal, however Dr. Vargas does not have a care for aiding my grandfather from this experience which enforces my opinion to doubt that’s he cares for any other patient. My grandfather had a check up this morning with him and Dr. Vargas came in, said, “what am I going to do with you?”, to my poor grandfather who experience heart failure. Then he did a, roughly longer than, 5 minute check on my grandpa and left like he was in a hurry. On top of this, we have been waiting for an hour and a half for him in order for him to do a second check up on my grandfather and to be honest, I don’t think he’s going to show up. I don’t expect doctors to be lovely for each patient, but please do your job and help the patients you are paired to. So disappointing and I don’t wish this type of care for anyone.

Our mother was in comfort care. Dr Vargas was our in house physician. I cannot express how kind and gentle he was with our mother as well as the family. Many heartfelt Thank You's to the kindest physician I have ever met.
