Dr. Patrick Joseph Viscardi, MD

Dr. Viscardi performed hand surgery (multiple tendon repairs) in the ER and was the calm and matter-of-fact voice in an otherwise chaotic situation. Together with the surgical and recovery team, my outcome was better than I could have hoped for. He is a brilliant surgeon and a very caring professional. Highest recommendation!

Worst experience ever!! Admitted he screwed up in front of 2 witnesses and have the nerve to send ME a bill after sending to insurance which they paid!! Refused to see me again when I had issues!! Never Again!!

Dr Viscardi is very smart, he is highly educated, and I believe he has spent a life time collecting information. Dr V is brilliant. You must listen closely to what he tells you, what he is talking about happens eventually. We are extremely lucky to have someone with his ability in our area. I'm grateful to him and his staff. I won't look in the mirror everyday and think about having cancer. He is a Godly man with compassion

Very caring, excellent expertise

My son was referred to the Centre P.C. after an accident. After being in the E.R. the night before, we received a phone call at 8:30 am for Dr. Viscardi's office, saying that the dr. wanted to see us that morning in Elkhart at 11 am, for us to go by the hospital to get a copy of a CT scan, so he could schedule surgery. I pointed out to the receptionist that the dr. had not yet seen my son or his CT scan, so how was it that she knew that there would be a surgery? She corrected herself quickly, and said that the consult would determine whether or not there would need to be surgery. We got to the office and filled out pages of forms which included a form so we would consent to using our son in their advertising brochures. We declined. The dr. was 45 minutes behind schedule for our appt., examined my son for 2 minutes and said he needed surgery immediately. He said that the surgery couldn't wait and wanted us to commit to surgery the next day, Friday, at 4 pm. I was immediately… suspicious and said that my wife and I would need to discuss it and we would get back with his office to let them know what we were going to do. Within 45 minutes of the visit, his office called and said that they had scheduled the surgery for the next day. My wife said that we had told the dr. that we had not made up our mind yet and we would let them know our plans later. In the meantime, we set up an appt. for Monday am with an oral surgeon who specialized in jaw fractures. Dr. Viscardi's office called again on Thursday pm, wanting to know if we would showing up for the surgery on Friday pm. We said no. On Monday, we saw a well-known oral surgeon for a 2nd opinion, who quickly determined that surgery was not necessary and scheduled a followup visit in 30 days. The oral sugeon examined the films in our presence, explained the fracture and treatment plan. Dr. Viscardi didn't even have a file on my son, take notes in a file or laptop or explain the risks of the procedure.

Dr. Viscardi is a wonderful, caring man with a wonderful personality. My visits to him have been pretty prompt and he is always willing to answer questions and explain things. I would absolutely recommend him.

I went to see Dr. Viscardi, because I had a swollen finger, which I could not move. After a significant wait, Dr. Viscardi saw me for three minutes, simply looked at my finger--barely touching it--and told me it should be fine. The OUT OF POCKET cost for those three minutes was about $300. I was under COBRA at the time, which didn't pay anything, and because of that, I also was charged a late fee. When I lost my job, the office gave me no consideration whatsoever regarding the bill, threatening to send me to collections. Unbelievable. When I called and asked to speak with the doctor, I was told he would be given a message that I called, and he never returned my call. I guess phone calls are an extra hundred.
