Dr. Patrik Gabikian, MD

This doctor is extremely arrogant and rude. Honestly it’s shocking. Absolutely unsympathetic to our concerns about a new brain tumor diagnosis. I’m shocked he still has a job.

This doctor was beyond amazing! He is a treasure and I am grateful he is a Kaiser doc. He saved my life. I was eventually diagnosed with GBM, not the good one to have. i was up and walking within 2 days and home by day 9. I credit this to the outstanding surgeon Dr. Gabikian is. God Bless you doc.

This doctor ( if he deserves to be called one) thinks and acts like a god and that the patient is under his mercy. He has the worst bedside manner, he is full of sarcasm, and he puts lies in his charting. I was referred to him by my PCP, which was a mistake; he was upset with me because my situation was not “a stroke.” I told him I never requested his referral and my symptoms are not his specialty. He let me wait for an hour and a half until I followed up with the unit clerk since he refused to see me and he was late; my health concern was just a waste of time for him. He falsified my chart by wrongfully putting a wrong chief complaint, and he falsified the documentation of my chief complaint by stating I was there for concern for the spine cancer when I never mentioned that to him. He finally did his “ assessment” ( which is not an assessment) of me; he insisted there was nothing wrong with me without any intervention. Patrick Gabikin, you cannot make a final diagnosis without… assessing the patient or at least doing some diagnostic testing before telling the patient there is nothing wrong with them. He made a statement to me, “Look, there is nothing wrong with you. I am not a god. If I don't like you, I will do surgery on you.” he was slapping the back of his right hand to his left palm while yelling. Finally, after prolonged yelling, demeaning, and sarcasm, Patrick Gabikian agreed that I get an MRI contrast. When I got the result, I was surprised; my sister, who works in the medical field, stated that the abnormal results of my MRI had not happened in one day. I was referred to the right specialization, and I got my treatment. All the positive reviews on the internet were done by the same people of his ethnicity. He is only nice to his people. I observed that even the staff in the clinic are aware of his bad attitude and are all scared of him. Patrick Gabikian, you may wear a prestigious title and “good with your job” answer review, but you have a major attitude to work on; unfortunately, Kaiser allows this kind of doctor in their company who falsifies patient chief complaints and is extraordinarily disrespectful.

Before surgery had I had Lhermitte's signs and wrongfully diagnosed by other doctors that I had more serious underlying conditions like MS. After his review of my MRI, he ruled MS out and tied my situation to a herniated disk causing spinal stenosis with myelopathy. He operated on me and I am back to life again. God bless him. I hope he never dies.

Dr Gabikian is extremely professional and very thorough. He listened to me and made me feel very much at ease and told me exactly what I could expect with the condition I have. I am so happy I met Dr. Gabikian and feel confident he is the right doctor to treat me.

Took care of my brother's challenging tumor on a weekend to prevent blindness. Dedicated, friendly, matter-of-fact; very knowledgeable about his specific area of specialization in complex brain tumors. I appreciate his old-school manners as he runs a very "tight ship".

Dr. Gabikian is an excellent doctor. Before my back surgery, he examined me thoroughly, gave me great advice and guidance, and laid out exactly what I would expect to see in terms of how the surgery would go and how I would recover. He did a great job and my results were exactly as he described. He was caring and patient with me, and made me feel at ease. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get back surgery.
