Dr. Patty Joyce Balch, MD

Dr. Balch is a most alluring woman "of a certain age." She is ample in every sense of the word and has platinum hair that simply glows in the sunlight.

A previous reviewer complained that Dr. Balch never touched her in the exam. As an experienced Dr., she is making assessments constantly. It may seem like she's just chatting but all of the time she's checking out a hundred different things.

Dr. Balch is, by far, the best Doctor I have ever been to - period!! She takes whatever time is necessary to talk to me, listens to me and makes sure that I understand everything that happens during the appointment. She is very open and honest and I appreciate her directness. I completely trust her!

Dr. Balch has been my doctor for at least 7 years. Her skills as family doctor are unmatched. Yet, she does not hesitate to refer to a specialist when needed. She has the best bed side manner of any doctor that I have ever had. I highly recommend her.

Dr Balch has been my primary care physician for 5 years and is now the PCP for my daughters and my husband. Not only does she take time to listen, but she proactively suggests ways to live a healthier and happier life. I can not say enough about her level of care and top notch professionalism!

I had been to doctors on both sides of town, all in a rush.... ignored me and my symptoms. A friend told me to call this doctor.... thank goodness I went. Dr. Balch asked me a number of questions, actually let me answer them, and then proceeded to organize the workup. In a matter of days, she had the diagnosis. Her directness can be intimidating, but she is laser sharp. She's nicer than she seems at first.

I've seen Dr. Balch as my primary care doctor for several years. She actually sits down with me and talks about my life. I feel like she knows me and cares about me. She is down to earth but also a great diagnostician. Several years ago I went in with what could have been seen as just a very nasty stomach virus. She accurately diagnosed that I actually had a c.diff infection.I cannot recommend her highly enough.(The site would not let me click on four stars for some reason in the overall opinion.)

A good friend referred to me Dr. Balch when I moved to the area. I couldn't be happier w/her care. I have always been able to be scheduled for appts quickly and waiting time is minimal.I always feel that I am her main priority when I am in her office.

She listened, took my complaint, and explained the initial tests needed. She even followed up by phone. Very direct and pleasant.
