Awful experience!!! Please do yourself a favor and stay away!!!!!

He thought that my dizziness was all in my head. He said that he could do not about it. I found out that I had an infecton of the ear and did balance PT. I also had a mass in the prefrontal gyri which he ignored. It turned out to be a brain tumor.

Dr. Blachman’s license should be revoked. Please, please do not go to this rude, arrogant, condescending disgrace of a human, let alone physician. Zero compassion with incompressible lack of bedside manner and basic people skills. South Shore Hospital should release him from their staff. There are so many other physicians you can see in the greater Boston area. You have access to the greatest providers in the world of medicine. I don’t care what degrees he has, he’s not qualified to to interact with patients or with family members. Do not subject yourself to this man! Dr. Blackman, you should be ashamed of yourself. Retire!!

The office setting is a little lackluster, but it hides a real gem of a guy. Dr. Blachman was attentive, listened well and understood what I was saying. He was also informative, which made me very comfortable, and very personable. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

I've never written a review for a doctor, but after taking my father, who has Parkinson's , to see Dr. Blachman, I looked him up and saw all of these awful reviews. What everyone writes is true. He only wants to talk about himself. Simply because I was advocating for my father, he asked me incredibly rudely what I did for a job (who cares!?) and when I told him, he rolled his eyes at me and laughed at my profession. When I asked how we can best care for my 6'2" father, he said, "Just make sure he doesn't fall." Are you kidding? Should we walk behind him with a pillow and hope for the best? When my mother asked for alternative treatment options, Dr. Blachman said, "I don't know anything about that" and waved her off. We will not be continuing treatment with this poor excuse for a doctor. I've never seen such atrocious bedside manner.

This so called doctor needs to be investigated for his methods of testing, rudeness and insulting behavior. He is a paid insurance doctor, who challenged every word I said and twisted the report with untruths. He told me I was faking in so many words. When he did the neuro testing, I was unsteady on my feet. I kept falling to the left, then he had me close my eyes and I fell backwards and hit his xray white board. He never apologized nor did he note it in his report. Instead he said nothing was wrong in his report, except to make it look like I was the liar, when in fact it was he. I left his office upset and I have NEVER met a more unprofessional doctor as he. Please, if this stops one person from seeing him, then I feel as though I have helped. He should be run out of town, and I am disappointed that the hospitals support this man. If you have to go to him, I would tape record or video the entire session, he is dishonest. I believe a video is the only way to stop this man… from gaining income by supporting insurance companies. Realize that if he supports the patient, he may lose his monetary gain from the insurance companies, as they do not want a doctor that supports all the patients that have workman comp problems. Beware

Referred to Dr for a problem. He immediately had an answer and now being treated

I went to Dr. Blachman a few years ago after another Dr. I was seeing in the practice left. I was referred to him and dropped him after my 2nd visit because he was extremely late (1 1/2 hours!) both times, rude, condescending and made me feel like he thought my symptoms weren’t real. Fast forward and my BF was referred to him for some ongoing serious issues. I went with him to the appointment and my heart dropped after turning the corner and seeing Dr. Blachman. I didn’t recognize the name because I merely thought of him as “that old rude guy.” Well, sure enough, we waited 45 minutes past the appointment time to be talked down to, talked over, interrupted and dismissed. He literally waved his hand from behind his desk to dismiss me when I was explaining something! When my BF was explaining his medical history to him (issues with drugs and alcohol in the past but sober for years), he was completely judgmental and rolled his eyes.... about something that happens 20 years ago!! No… patient should see this man and he should retire!!

I found Dr Blachman to be very very cold---his bedside manner was atrocious. He was delivering me some pretty bad news, and could have been more sensitive. Awful. Wanted me to go to Dana Farber asap. More importantly, he never looked me in the eye---just read results of my MRI while pointing out things (medical-speak) that were on his "graph". One of the other doctors is the one who ordered the test---my appointment was to get the results---he brought me right into Dr Blachman's office. He couldn't give me the results himself? I found the entire office (with exception of Katie-front desk, who is wonderful) to be full of odd ducks.

The appointment is all about HIM not YOU, this after your 2 hour wait to see him. You may see results but you'll need another doctor for your new anxiety and anger disorder.
