Dr. Paul Edgar Bower, MD

This Doctor is rude and dissmissive. His attitude in the exam room is awful. He has zero bedside manner and his exams are aggressive and without care. That extends to follow-up calls as well. I would never return to this doctor and would caution anyone thinking of going to him. If you do get a second opinion. I don't know where the 5 star reviews come from but that is not what this doctor deserves. Read the other real reviews.

Beware if you have elderly parents being treated by Dr. Bower. His bedside manner and patience was atrocious, at one point raising his voice to my 85 year old father. I came down from NE to meet with Dr. Bower to review my mom's tests, treatment plan and communication challenges regarding the recent exploratory surgery because I could not get a call with anyone in his office to understand the care she was getting. He was not interested in going through the test results, his care plan the recent surgical procedure that we canceled because I could not get any information ahead of time and my parents were very confused. It was obvious there were communication challenges and he didn't have the compassion or patience to explain anything to them or to me. His bedside manner is atrocious, at one point raising his voice to my 85 year-old father. Within 5 min of the introduction he was agitated that we canceled the exploratory surgery because I was very concerned without any information on what… he was going to do to my mom and made comments about being sued. It was the worst expereince I have ever had with a doctor caring for my elderly parents. The wait room was standing room and the wait time was over 20 min.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Paul E Bower. I went to one urologist whose name sounded familiar to me. He was unable to manage my care and had no suggestions. I decided to do some research and Dr. Bower stood out. His education and work history are exemplary. He had a completely different diagnosis as the previous urologist. Dr. Bower offered me a choice of two solutions to correct my problem - one permanent but invasive, and the other a prescriptive cream that would alleviate my condition. I chose the less invasive solution, and my symptoms were gone within a few days. He is very personable and caring. I definitely recommend him.
