Dr. Paul Burk, DO

If I could give a -0 rating I would. He charged my insurance for surgeries he did not perform on me. I did report fraud and somehow he got out of it. He walks to the counter and tells the girls what to bill for. I even questioned it right there when I heard it.

DO NOT SEE THIS MAN! His secretary's quit for a reason. I feel sorry for the new girl in charge ofbhis mess. He just kept giving me a months worth of different antibiotics at each appointment. He told me he was going to put tubes in my ears at my next appointment. At THAT appointment he tells me he has an eye injury and can't do it now. Told me to find a new ENT and asked if I wanted some more antibiotics for the meantime. I quickly found a new ENT who took me in ASAP. He told me that Dr. Berk was giving me antibiotics that I shouldn't have been taking. Dr. Berk never once swabbed my ears. If he had, he would have known I had a Staff AND a Fungal infection that were breading off of the antibiotics he gave me. I had been a patient in pain for 3 months. I was miserable the whole time and was NEVER getting any better, only got worse, everyday. If he would have put them tubes in it would have been bad news for me. Thanks goodness he has eye problems or I quite possibly would have… been deaf for the rest of my life.

Amazing man who knows his stuff. He doesn’t have to keep testing after testing. He listens to your symptoms, may have a test to verify. I had the ballon procedure two weeks ago. It was very simple. You take your relaxation meds. Have the procedure and rest the rest of the day. I never needed any pain Medication. I was perfectly fine after leaving. Dr. Burk ensures you’re comfortable. I recommend him and this procedure. More simple than one I had done many years ago.

On my first appointment he talked too much, not about my issues. He did NO procedures that day, just looked up my nose. He recommended a balloon sinuplasty, because I had sinus cavities that would not drain. While in the waiting room I heard just about every patient was set up with some sort of procedure. (odd, I thought) I went for procedure which was fast. I went for follow up, he didn't do anything except look. He billed my insurance for a camera test that was not done, billed for 2 debridements which were not done. I called billing and they didn't respond. I reported him to insurance. Somehow he got away with it. These were Big Billing procedures that benefit him for his upcoming retirement. So sad there are drs like this.

Dr. Burk is not only very qualified in his specialty, but he is also very easy going. He made my husband feel very comfortable from the very first encounter through surgery and post-op. We are very grateful for Dr. Burk!

After being shuffled from doc to doc, I finally found one who is understanding and smart at the same time. Figured out my problem and started me on treatment right away. Can’t believe I am so much better! If you want a great ear, nose, throat doctor go see Dr. Paul Burk.

I was nervous about seeing someone for my sinus issues, but Dr. Burk put me at ease and was informative and knowledgeable. He took care of my problems and I am doing so much better. I will send anyone with sinus problems to this doc.

I was seen in the ER on a Friday night for a terrible nosebleed. I had to have a rhino rocket inserted to stop the bleeding. I was specifically told to call the ENT doctor early Monday morning for an appointment to be seen on Monday for the removal of packing/rhino rocket. The discharge paperwork specifically said to be seen in 2-3 days. I had never seen this provider before, his name was on the ER discharge paperwork. The first thing the doctor said when he walked into the exam room is "You're really supposed to wait 3-4 days to have this removed", never asking what happened or how I was feeling. I questioned if I should come back to which he responded "There are no guarantees either way, we can take it out and see what happens". I questioned why the office staff made the appointment without further clarifying the recommended time frame (which conflicted with the ER discharge instructions). I received a very sarcastic response. He never explored the history of the nosebleed, no… insight as to what may have caused the nosebleed until I specifically asked, no discussion of preventative measures to avoid future nosebleeds. The doctor is very arrogant, abrupt, sarcastic, uninformative and not an ounce of compassion. The office was sending me out the door with blood on my face, I had to be asked to be cleaned off. I will never return to this practice!!

I was amazed at this doctors calmness. He apologized for wait time and said there is supposed to be 4 people working with him in the office, but only 1 made it because of a scheduling problem. However, he treated me like I was the only person that he needed to take of. I was there awhile, but he did everything needed to take care of my problem. I may have waited awhile but I think I got the best care from a doctor that I've had in a long time.
