Dr. Paul David Carlan, MD

Dr Paul Carlan has been seeing my children for 7 yrs now and I don't have 1 bad thing to say about him . We have moved further away and I still have him as my kids provider and will not change it .. he understands me as a mom and has always stood behind me no matter what .

Dr. Carlan and I had a tele-Med visit regarding my Mom and it went very well. He was genuinely concerned about her and her condition. I found that my personal beliefs relative to medical interventions for the elderly and his were aligned. He was very down-to earth and spent the right amount of time. At the conclusion of the “visit” he asked to speak with my Mom even though that was challenging due to her demented state. Our family is glad to have him back after my Mom being away for 4 years. Thank you Dr. Carlan.

Based on my encounter, Dr. Carlan is arrogant, impatient and condescending. He declines to see patients who are elderly or low-income who lack the latest health care and computer technology at home in order to facilitate tele_health medicine, his preferred form of contact. He refuses to do follow-up encounters.

I have been Dr. Paul Carlan's patient for 13 years, and in all that time he has never been anything but respectful, caring, and thorough. He's compassionate; when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, he called me at home to make sure I was okay, and to offer encouragement in the treatment ahead. He is the finest physician I have ever had.

I've never been so insulted by a Dr. in my life. And after telling other people about my horrible experience with him, I'm hearing more and more Horror Stories of his other patients. If you want to be taken seriously and not pigeon holed that you are crazy and that it's all in your head, don't go see this man. He disregarded everything I said and even disregarded test results from another Dr. and told me it was all in my head. He didn't even order tests of his own to disprove the other Dr. He did nothing but insult me and say I was depressed. Then he wouldn't even treat me for that. So what the heck am I paying you for???????
