The best VAT surgeon ever. A real nice guy who is educated and experienced beyond believe.

Dr. Digiorgi is outstanding as was every member of his surgical team and office staff. Very professional and very caring people. I felt as though being Dr. Digiorgi's patient meant receiving care at a level far above the norm and this was obvious in remarks often made by nursing staff in the hospital.

I was referred to Dr. DiGiorgi by my cardiologist. He expressed great confidence in Dr. DiGiorgi, plus I was a bit surprised by the fact that he was willing to suggest I have my surgery at a hospital other than the one he (my cardiologist) works out of. I researched and read all great things about DiGiorgi and his advanced techniques prior to my initial consultation and clearly they were all very accurate. He was very reassuring and willing to answer and explain anything I wished and scheduled me right away for heart valve replacement, pending a few preliminary tests. Tests revealed I actually needed more than just a valve replacement so my surgery grew a bit in terms of complication. Dr. Digiorgi and his whole team were amazing. Obviously I dont remember my surgery but, I do remember my recovery. He and his team were very hands on every single step of the way. Even the nurses on the cardiac unit were fantastic. The only thing I found surprising was that more people in my area hadnt… known of the reputation of this amazing cardiothoracic surgical team and extremely high level of expertise and care thats available at Lee Health Park Medical Center. I highly recommend Dr. DiGiorgi and his team.

Almost 11 months since I had heart valve replaced. I had no pain, discomfort immediately after surgery. Dr. Digiorgi is excellent from our first appointment, before surgery and after surgery. Very caring, explains everything in detail and after surgery is super caring and checks on his patient's until they return home. Does not rush you through your visits, takes his time and is awesome. I did not know him before I checked the internet. I had the tiny incision above my right breast (3 inches) to replace left valve. I have a transplanted kidney, fell in the hospital prior to heart surgery and broke femur in 4 places, heart attack year before, two stents, diabetes, chf, pleural effusion, pneumonia..etc. To all my doctor's, I am know as a "COMPLICATED MAN". Replacing the heart valve was a "piece of cake" compared to a tooth I just had pulled. Not one bit of pain, discomfort and up the same day. Thank you Dr. Digiorgi!!!! 25 stars to you!!!!
