I was diagnosed with a major liver problem, my primary said that I was going to die! After 3 years of beiing a Hep C study patient at Tulane, I overheard Dr. Gaglio raising his voice to the nurse in charge of the program outside my exam room, basically saying I would (emphasis HIS) be allowed to be treated with PEG Intron and Ribavirin despite the protocol calling for the first round of patients being those who had never been on interferon therapy. No doubt I would have gotten on it eventually, but due to Dr,. Gaglio I was on it sooner, and was cured sooner. Dr. G' s okay by me.
