Dr Gietzen is an extremely good physician. He does not mince words which I like. Excellent doctor.

Doctor Gietzen has been my doctor for a long time. Before him, Dr. Noel was my doctor and when she wasn't available, he was quick to step in. He can be firm and everything, but sometimes this is what people need. I have had a great experience with this doctor's office.

He is just terrible to my father. My dad never used to have people go in with him, but now he asks us all just because he says, "He isn't as mean when someone else is around!". He makes him feel bad all the time, about everything. Like his weight, (my father can barely move his legs are as big as an elephants, all swollen up. He cannot move enough to lose the weight properly because he can't even wear shoes his legs and feet are swollen so large. ) He has absolutely no diagnosis for him, and no intent to find a diagnosis or drive either. I do not know if you could say anything to motivate him to work harder and find out. He has treated him poorly for years, even when he was very thin. I have gone with him and have been appalled, if my dad would not have been completely mad at me and mortified, I would have tore him a new one. My uncle went to him and did the same thing, and he went to him for many years. When my uncle died, they found out that he had (had) many heart attacks before… he died. He had complained about chest pain for a long time and Dr. Gietzen totally dismissed him and told him various other possible reasons, never having given him a single test. His bedside manner is terrible if I could have rated him a minus four for bedside manner, follow up, or ACCURACY IN DIAGNOSING A PROBLEM I definitely would have! I have gone to him as well, once and never ever again; he acted like a jerk and did not do anymore doctoring than his helpers. His "diagnosis" was WORTHLESS. I cannot say this more emphatically, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR! HE IS A TERRIBLE DOCTOR!
