Dr. Paul William Gonter, MD

I went into this doctor's office for a simple consultation. I was directed to have blood drawn before I ever met with a nurse or a doctor. I received a $200 bill for a 3 minute conversation with the doctor who said he could not help me. I just received a $1,000 bill for blood tests that I had no idea were being delivered and where I never saw the results. I called to complain and was told I should have questioned the work before it was done. The billing specialist was not interested in resolving the matter, just getting the bill paid. Very unprofessional.

I was seen by Dr. Gonter for a short time, while I was being tested for cancer (which, thank goodness, I do not have, at least now). I honestly believe he is one of the best physicians I have ever seen. He explains things clearly for patients. He is not offended or challenged when you ask questions, but answers them openly. Best of all, in my opinion, and in his own words to me: "I am very thorough but I am very conservative." He does not rush into treatment, but follows a conservative and appropriate protocol. If ever I need an oncologist again, I would go to no one but Dr. Gonter.
