Dr. Paul Frederick Hartsfield, MD

My husband and I love Dr Hartsfield. He has always been the best for us. He is caring compassionate, and he takes his time listening to us. We have called during illness and he and his staff have been always responded. My husband and I are very happy to have him as our PCP.

I was Dr. Paul Hartsfield's patient for many years, but NO MORE! Over the years his lack of trained staff has failed me in my medical needs many times. His staff will not answer telephone calls, has an attitude problem, and IS NOT patient oriented. He is a poor doctor in my opinion, does poor follow-up, and lacks "bed side" manners. He is always late. He and especially his office staff have a "less than caring" attitude. I was in the hospital for over a week. He did not call or do any follow-up to help me after I left the hospital. His office staff need training in how to help/assist patients.

His staff has an attitude problem and are not patient oriented consistently. They will not answer the phone and seem not to really care about a patient's medical needs. He is a poor doctor in his bedside manners. I have been in the hospital for a week and he has never called me during or after the hospital visit. When I visit him all he does is go over my bloodwork and never goes over other medical problems I have. He is always late for my scheduled appointment which wastes my time. In my opinion he does not supervise his staff which therefore causes medical problems with his patients.

Dr Paul Hartsfield came highly recommended from a couple of my clients. I have to say that I am very disappointed with his clinical staff in regards to referrals. I have called several times left messages with no response back. I have been trying to get Dr. Hartsfield to refer me out to a Neurologist to have one simple test done. However, the Neurologist that the referral went to 2 months ago never received the referral. Come to find out I called the Neurologist's office and the Neurologist doesn't do that type of testing. After several messages and no response back to find out what's going on, I think it's time for me to find a different Doctor. I also do some independent contracting work for TPCA and wow, I'm truly very disappointed. I will be trying to find another physician to handle what I needed to get handled a little over 2 months ago. Dr Paul Hartsfield himself seemed very nice and empathetic towards the situation that I was currently in. He seemed like he was concerned. My… father was dying at the time I first seen Dr. Hartsfield and he knew my Father needed me especially since I'm the only child and he lived by himself. Since then my Father passed away and I'm still waiting on the referral and I'm still in the same situation. He definitely needs to look into his clinical staff. I have made my clients aware of my experience and they are familiar with the circumstances holding me back from handling my Father's Estate and alot more things.

I have been going to see Dr Heartsfild for several years and he’s very thorough , I feel like he cares about you as a individual patient. Not rushed, he’s listens to what you say and feel. Makes you feel comfortable. Dr Heartsfild is ??????

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Hartsfield. He truly listens to his patients before deciding a course of action. However, his staff is awful. Don’t expect a call back from the nurse within the same day even if you call first thing in he morning.

Dr. Hartsfield is a great doctor. He is patient and truly wants to listen and help you. However, his nurse is AWFUL. When you call, you ONLY get her voicemail GUARUNTEED. And once you leave a message it’s 50/50 on the chances she returns your call. I asked for a specific medication to be called in, she called in a completely different one, and when I called (and left a message) to fix the problem, I did not hear back that business day (as she says in her message that she will get back to you by end of day) and now has not called me back or called in my prescription for another 24 hours. It is now Friday evening, the weekend and she has completely screwed my body because now it will be an entire week without my medication, IF I can get this solved Monday. This is not the first time it’s happened. Unfortunately I will never be back to the office and finding another doctor. Which really stinks because I love the doctor. It’s too bad.

Dr. Hartsfield genuinely cares for his patients and is an excellent primary care physician. His practice provides excellent customer service, and is always on top of patient requests.

Dr. Hartsfield is SUPER nice. Very patient, understanding, and caring. His nurse, Jayceon(spelling?) however WILL NOT return your telephone call! She will tell you on her answering machine that she will call you back, but she will not. Dr. Hartsfield needs a new nurse.

This doctor takes time to talk to you and is very compassionate.
