After being seen by two GI docs in Wilmington for C-diff infection, I was not getting any better so I went to a GI doc at Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem for months. Unfortunately, he did not cure me so I came back to my family doctor in Wilmington who sent me to another GI doc. Fortunately this doctor immediately referred me to Dr. Kamitsuka who saw me one time and prescribed the correct dosage of a medicine that I had been given by the GI doc at Baptist. After 18 months of illness and frustration I finally found a great doctor and am so happy that he is now my physician.

Dr. Kamitsuka is hands down the best medical doctor I have ever encountered. he is a brilliant, personable and extraordinarily thorogh practitioner of medicine.

There is not enough space here to tell anyone my experience with Dr. K. He was on the phone with me while I was at the emergency room with my Dad till almost 12:00 in the morning on his own personal cell phone! Never had a Doctor do that! He is SO very caring. Bedside manner second to none. He is a lost breed in his profession!!!!

Called Dr Kamitsuka's nurse with a question @ medication, she never called back. Called her back a second time, she said she would speak to Dr. K and she never called back. Very frustrating- can't talk to Dr. Kamitsuka or his nurse!!

Completly wrong diagnosis, was told it was "anxiety". Johns hopkins and Mayo Clinic thought otherwise. Turns out to be a serious heart condition. Good thing i listened to my instincts and didnt trust his dismissal of my syptoms as mental problems.

Went to Dr. K for years. The most compassionate and thorough Dr. my husband and I have ever had! It's been 4 years since we moved away and still haven't found a Dr. as good as him! We really miss him and his staff! He is truly the BEST!
