Dr. Paul Nathan Kaufman, MD

My elderly, diabetic father visited this dr. Kaufman yesterday. My elderly mother took him to see this dr. because my father's GP was off and it was suggested that due to the nature of the issue, to see his urologist. My father had been to see dr. Kaufman before regarding a prostate issue and this issue is with his scrotum. He had a very sudden, large swelling on his scrotum. This doctor spent enough time to examine (if he would have touched him, my father would have yelped in paid, but the dr. did not) and report there was NO INFECTION and a visible edema (stating the obvious) and to follow up with his GP. So my father waited until the following day, with worsening symptoms. His GP immediately, upon visual examination was very alarmed. Upon her touch, my father yelped with pain. She immediately stated this was serious and ordered him to the hospital. Due to the seriousness of his diabetes and infection, she called the hospital to let them know he was coming. He was in such pain he… could not eat. The hospital immediately put him on an IV of antibiotics, amongst several other labs being done. He will be there 2-3 days. All of the Dr.'s from his GP to those in the hospital said the same thing: "how could a urologist not see the obvious and state NO INFECTION in this report?" If I could rate this no stars I would. I am angry at the neglect and the loss of a day. I am angry this dr. Kaufman will submit to my father's insurance and get paid for his neglectful treatment. Needless to say, my father will NEVER see dr. Kaufman again. 32 years, sir...time to retire.
