Dr. Paul Martin Kentor, MD

I worked here for awhile. I remember he was obsessed with not missing a single penny and tried to charge as much as possible for a visit/allergy testing. It turned me off to this practice. I promise not all physicians are like this. He had this nutjob assistant named Mindy. She had no clue how to run the offices. I was just disappointed to see what happened behind the scenes in that practice. I think that’s why turnover was kind of high.

My title covers it. He seems like a nice man, but his office is managed poorly. After waiting for some time in the reception room, they forgot about me in the examining room. His reputation is excellent ...I don't understand!

I wish that all doctors were as concerned about their patients and knowledgeable as Dr. Kentor. He is one of the few physicians who actually visits his patients when they are in the hospital. His knowledge extends beyond allergies and immunology and he has caught problems that my internist failed to observe.

He is excellent! I have numerous allergies and immune system issues and he is very thorough in teaching me about my conditions, and what remedies I can take. He spends a lot if time with me to help me address my medical concerns, and he genuinely cares! He listens well to my questions.

I came to see Dr. Kentor after I had a severe allergic reaction that left me in the hospital for the night. I came looking for answers and guidance and instead he told me that I probably just had a "panic attack" and that he would try to "appease me" before I left his office. I followed up with him the next week to give him some materials he needed and then never heard back from him. Now I am left with a ridiculous bill, and for what - for him to tell me that I was suffering from anxiety?

the doctor was nice even tho he was running late. i had to wait a long time for the nurses to get around to helping me because they were already so busy.

I found Dr. Kentor in 1980. He was like hitting the jackpot. He is so smart, comprehensive on what is wrong...and many times if my allergies kicked up and I was really suffering, he calmed me down (that is wonderful for an asthmatic person) and assured me I would be well if I followed his prescriptions and advice. When he was voted best in his field by his peers, it was years after I found him and I was not surprised. I have recommended him to many people....at least to the ones who aren't already going to him!

Dr. Kentor gets the job done, but the ride is a little bumpy along the way. He asks a lot of questions and will order a lot of tests but he doesn't explain what your responses might mean or what the tests will accomplish or prove until your final appointment. I went into my first appointment thinking I would know what was wrong and be feeling better soon, but I left even more confused and scared. It took me two weeks to hear what he was thinking and I'm still not sure if it was even helpful.

I was very disappointed with my dealings with Dr. Kentor. Although, he seems like a very nice man, he does not carry through and his office is like the 1950's. I definitely would not consider going back to him.
