Dr. Paul Erwin Larose, MD

Only seen him twice but I've liked him - very courteous - listens - and I felt at ease

I have seen him for the last 5 years. My very first time at the OBGYN I was very nervous and had multiple questions. He seemed as though he had not interest in answering my questions. I got an abnormal pap back. When I came back to his office for the follow up he continued to have little interest in my questions about what all of this meant. I have very inconsistent periods and changed birth control 7 times. Within the 7 times he changed my prescriptions he gave me the same medicine I had tried prior twice. I do not feel that he has any interest in my well being.

I have been a patient of Dr LaRoses for about 5 years, I have only had the my annual exams by him, Till recently when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. From day one, Dr Larose, his staff, and all the doctors with Sacred Heart have been on the ball, When your diagnosed with cancer you are treated like royality. From surgery, to diagnostic test "MRI's, CT Scans) to seeing specialist I never had to wait more then a day for an appointment. Nothing is more important then you. Thanks you everyone while I venture on this journay.

I went to this practice because I wanted a midwife. The last midwife I had was incredible and had a great experience with the birth of our first son. However, this experience was completely different! I interviewed many doctors and midwives and chose this practice. They seemed very friendly and accommodating until I was 39 weeks along. They did and ultra sound to find out how big the baby was and other standard checks. Then they put me on the monitor for about 45 mins or so. My midwife came back in the room and said "You are having contractions" I said "Really? I don't feel them." Then she was telling me how big they thought the baby was and said she would get her boss an OB she works under Dr. Paul Larose. He did some measurements and proceeded to tell me how huge this baby was going to be 10.5lbs or so. Then told me I should just have a c-section because "it would be easier". I didn't want a c-section. He then told me if I had this baby vaginally "You will HAVE to have an episiotomy… and an epidural". I told him "I don't want and epidural. I didn't have one with my first and don't plan on having one this time". He then told me "there are risks if you don't have an epidural." I told him "there are risks if I do have an epidural". He said very cocky "Like what?!" I told him that my sister had an epidural and now has major back pain everyday and migraines. He told me he had never heard that in his 35 years! I find that strange because my sister used a doctor within this same practice. Do your homework all drugs have risks and side effects. They also told me that "it is your decision but YOU have to live with the consequences". They also kept telling me things that rarely happen but seem like this was going to happen to me: like cord prolapse, still born baby, etc. As I was walking out of the room I noticed they had papers there and a pen. I don't know what the papers where but that was the first time there were any papers or pens on the counter in the exam room. My guess is that it was papers to either induce me or have a c-section. They continued to bully me even though my baby was fine and I was fine. I started looking for another doctor. Yes at 39 weeks! I found one at 41 weeks and 6 days! I changed doctors! Don't let them bully you. Do your own research about what doctors tell you.

Dr . LaRose is a very caring and sincere doctor. He took all my concerns seriously and never rushed me when I had a bunch of questions ! He took great care of me and my unborn baby. He is truly one of a kind

I would highly recommend Dr. LaRose to a friend and have done so over the past several years that I have been his patient. He has delivered my four children and does an excellent job providing prenatal care throughout each pregnancy.

Dr. Larose is a good doctor and really cares about his patients. I started seeing him 9 months ago and at every visit I liked him more and more. He planned a VBAC with me and I went into labor on his night off and the doctor on call refused to let me. He wanted to do a c section but Dr. Larose instead came in and delivered my baby. That was awesome!
