He was the most awesome Dr. He was so patient, explained everything with an amazing ease of our understanding and answered every question we had with kindness and compassion. He was truly engaged in my well being and long term outcome. We had heard he was the best, and he completely surpassed that expectation.

My valve replacement did not go well. I want to discuss this with Dr. Mahoney and, having waited several days, have received no return call. It appears that Dr. Mahoney is not interested in his patients post procedural condition.

Dr Paul Mahoney saved my father's (80s) life recently, by recognizing he needed a aortic valve and taking care of the problem by performing TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement), after we'd spent a few years at other institutions that did not have Dr Mahoney's superior knowledge and talent or the proper technology Sentara's Heart Hospital has. We are so grateful to Dr Mahoney and his outstanding team for expanding and enhancing my father's life.
