Had bilateral carpal tunnel 1-1/2 weeks ago and other than some soreness from procedure, I am 95% at full usage - no trigger fingers, no arm pain, no tingling or numbness. Been suffering with carpal tunnel syndrome for over 10 years, becoming a quality of life issue. Dr Paterson performed the release procedure on Monday and I was back to work on Wednesday. As a guitarist for 40 years, I knew the day would finally catch up with me where my hands would succumb to something like carpal tunnel and along with it came trigger finger. You can only imagine when you do something professionally as well as for passion how scary it is when your hands are in horrible pain, a finger randomly snapping and waking up to numbness barely able to bend your fingers. A friend told me about Dr Paterson and his unique minimally invasive surgical techniques for carpal tunnel that included a quick recovery. I’ve never been more impressed with a surgeon!!! I went for consultation and was assured that surgery should indeed have a quick recovery. I play live performances regularly through the year. I had a small break in the schedule of one weekend and was told let’s do it the Monday before the off weekend and that I could be back the following weekend after performing again. (11days later) I was actually playing guitar lightly within 4 days of surgery and back to… full performance within that 11 days as promised. I was given daily text updates sometimes even twice a day telling me what to expect or do next in the post surgical process, Including videos and exercises. This was extremely impressive, helpful, comforting and reassuring during the process. Also during my initial consultation,I noticed Dr Paterson had a public invitation for a carpal tunnel relief live demonstration/seminar and etiology of the condition as well as a q&a with himself, staff and the patient volunteer post their surgery on anything conditions related as well as insurance questions. I attended this prior to surgery to learn more and hear from everyone including a live patient immediately after procedure!! Extremely helpful and above and beyond!! Between both the texts and the seminar, I’ve never seen such attention to detail. And my outcome, as I write this a little over two months since the procedure of carpal tunnel relief on both hands and trigger finger relief on the left hand middle finger is I’m finally starting to feel normal again in my hands for the first time in over a year and playing better than ever. Such a relieving feeling mentally and physically!! I can’t recommend Dr Paterson enough for anyone suffering the effects of carpal tunnel, trigger finger or any type of hand pain. Please go see him and his wonderful staff…especially my fellow musicians, you have a solution now to be taken care of with minimal downtime, discomfort, worry to your craft and quick recovery. I had bilateral carpel tunnel release on a Tuesday and was back to work 5 days later on Sunday . I’m a nurse and I work full time. I would recommend Dr Paterson and his release and relief surgery to anyone. It was easy , he made it fun and he and his staff were very thorough and explained everything during and after the procedure wonderfully. His follow up texts were spot on daily and helpful and made a big difference in what to expect . I didn’t realize how much strength and SLEEP I had lost before the surgery. THANK YOU DR PATERSON !!!
