I was very unhappy, he wrote a report even after he ceased my treatment because according him he got 300K and insurance wont give anything anymore, not continue any treatment. This statement he declare himself and I do not know how he wrote a report as an expert after he ceased to seen the patient. His office manager was very rude when told me he cannot see me but I insist then he explained because he got his 300K from insurance and spoke to them they will not pay more than that. Mean he spoke unethical way to opposite insurance, understood later. My MRI lost twice. Do not leave your MRI in their office. His report is very ambiguous and he had not returned phone call being witness for his medical report in court. Not reliable, does not care his patient. He told me that because he got 300K from insurance but my insurance denied if is not my insurance from where ? Was a disaster for me. He offered me 3 surgery than he ceased everything with that explanation.He have not seen me as a… human no one can leave someone in pain that way. Not recommended anyone.

Dr. Ratzker and his team at The Back Institute are absolutely AMAZING! They have always gone above and beyond for me when needed. Dr. Ratzker has performed two cervical discectomy and fusions in my neck and both surgeries were a success. I would highly recommend him and his team! They go above and beyond any expectations.

Moreover, Dr. Ratzker’s administrative team sends Temporary Disability forms out to the state, manages scripts, and schedules appointments in a timely manner. I was nervous about back surgery for 2 reasons, surgery on the spine and whether it would fix my problem. Dr. Ratzker was great! I have my leg back and pain is gone!

I found Dr Paul Ratzger to be extremely knowledgeable and personable. I would highly recommend. He performed a 2 level ACDF on me.

Dr. Ratzker is a knowledgeable and caring surgeon. He is thorough and precise. He explains everything and when asked “what would you do if this was your family member”, there is no hesitation in his response. His care for my aunt during her stroke, was exceptional - he treated her as he would any member of his family. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a great Neurosurgeon.

I was operated on my neck by Dr. Ratzker and it was an outstanding experience. He took time to explain everything before and after my surgery. He was also very kind, understanding of my situation, and profesional.
