Dr. Paul A. Ravenna, MD

When my regular primary care doctor was not able to see me, I was scheduled with Dr. Ravenna at the Grayslake, IL Northwestern Hospital facility for a check up on an ongoing eye problem I was having. Dr. Ravenna was very self absorbed, not coming within 6 feet of me. He never examined me at all. From across the room with his legs and arms folded, leaning against a wall, he arrogantly announced that I "looked fine to him." He spent a total of about 90 seconds in the room. I was in tears and asked if he didn't want to look at my eye and he said no, repeating what he had said. Luckily my husband was with as a witness. We reported him to several agencies including NW. In my opinion, this "doctor" should not be able to administer to anyone.

I have seen several doctors in the past couple of months and Dr. Ravenna is the only one who took the time to sit down with me, thoroughly assess my symptoms, and thoroughly explain his diagnosis and my options moving forward. He treated me with compassion and respect. I am satisfied with the medical care that I received, and even more satisfied with his bedside manner and communication. Thanks to Dr. Ravenna, I feel like I understand my symptoms and I feel well-equipped to make decisions about my health moving forward.
