Dr. Paul Ira Schneiderman, MD

He is absolutely amazing, I have been to many dermatologists, and he was the only one that was able to diagnose and treat what I had going on. Amazing diagnostician!! I see that he has slowed his hours down… I hope he’s not retiring, because I truly don’t know where I would go, as I am one of the fussiest people with doctors that I know!

Dr Schneiderman is a fine doctor when you actually get to see him. But the people that work there are nasty and horrific. Expect nasty attitudes and long wait time.

Went for a rash on my chest and after Dr Schneiderman diagnosed it he pulled out a camera and took a picture of my "chest" without asking or telling me why he was taking a picture. I felt totally violated and shocked, I didn't know what to say and just left. This is unprofessional and should NEVER happen to anyone! This happened a couple of years ago and it still bothers me today.

Awesome Doctor! He's the best dermatologist on Long Island. However his staff is less than professional. We saw them making fun of patients when we were there.

I was referred to this office by a friend who rants and raves about this Dr, for his expertise in Psoriasis. Unfortunately I will have to find another Dr. I called on three separate occasions on three separate days and was told each time that the office was extremely busy and the lady who makes appointments was on the phone with another patient and had several holding. I asked if I could leave my number for her to return my call when she was less busy and was told I would have to call back. which I did two more times. I previously managed a Dr's office and know that at times if short staffed it can be very difficult to attend to the phone calls coming in during office hours. especially if you have a waiting room full of patients. So I decided to give them a try once again. I called today to try to make the appointment and a woman answered the phone (the same woman who wouldn't take a message the week before for "the woman" who makes appt's). she tells me "the woman" Laurine who makes… appointments is on the other line making an appointment with another patient and if I would mind holding. I said that was fine and held on the line. I was left on hold for over thirty minutes. someone finally picked up the line and just hung the phone up. I called back and asked to speak to a manager. I was told she was not in and asked what the issue was (by the same woman who has been answering all of my previous phone calls) i explained to her that its unbelievable that i cant seem to make an appointment and after having me holding for over thirty minutes someone would just hang up on me. She asked me to hold and miraculously Laurine was no longer busy and picked up my call to make my appointment. wonderful, right? No not wonderful, she was extremely rude. She asked me what i was coming to see the Dr. for and i told her Psorasis. She asks me" so i hear you have been trying to make an apt". i said yes and continued to tell her " for over a week, but kept being told you were too busy". she went on to tell me that they would never tell any patient that they were to busy and that i was making that up and called me a liar.." if this is the way this Dr's staff is allowed to speak to and treat his patients I would not trust going to see him.

Office staff originally told me that he was in my plan...arrived at the office and then was told he was not in my plan....costing me an extra $24...no apology...was then told I could cancel if I wanted to....kept appointment and that was my first and last visit...

Love this man such a caring Dr
