Dr. Paul Jason Schnur, MD

He does his job. I have had doctors at Chico Clinic who ignore your medical concerns and never order tests. Dr. Schnur will hear your concerns and address them as needed. He may not be your best friend but he will do his job.

While doctor Schnur may be a competent doctor. As a human being well, lets just say he needs work. This doctors relationship with his patients is miserable. He is rude, uncaring and totally cold. Dr.Schur seems to think he is above every one else. He needs counseling to learn to interact positively with people or he should be in a lab by himself . One thing is for sure Dr. Schnur should NOT be a doctor at the VA. It go to the point the prospect of having to see him made me Ill all by its self. I felt so badly treated by him I contacted the Director of the Northern California VA, I cant remember her name but she is great. I encourage other vets to contact her. Veterans should not be treated in this manner. I would do any thing to see this man removed for the benefit of other vets. I may self changed doctors.

I have been treated by several doctors over the course of my time at the VA and this miserable midget takes the cake for being the most horrible doctor the VA has employed. He is extremely condescending, short tempered, and always on edge. I mean, seriously?? Is this the kind of doctor the VA wants to provide for a struggling veteran population? From the moment you step into his exam room it's like walking on eggshells. His bedside manner is non-existent, and he acts rushed from the very get-go. I would suggest avoiding this guy if seeking treatment at the outpatient VA clinic in Chico. I wish I would have just kept my primary care at the VA in Palo Alto, endured driving the 3 1/2 hours where my needs would be met than deal with the likes of this insufferable POS. The only reason I gave one star is because the LVN's at that clinic are great nurses.

This doctor has the worst bed side manner I've ever seen. He doesn't give you quality time nor is he very friendly. Choose another doctor if you can at the Chico VA.
