Offered to prescribe me Viagara for ED concerns. That's all he was willing to do. Would not entertain any other forms of testing, diagnostics, trials, etc even after I continued 10+ times to request said testing just to check. "It's not indicated based on your information." Ended up traveling across the country and seeing a top Urologist in the US where testing was performed and I was diagnosed with issues that could easily have been caught here. Likely a competent doctor for cookie cutter cases of 65+ y/o men, but for anything else your time is better spent seeing someone else.

Dr Shapiro was very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose my Dad with the least invasive methods and testing and schedule surgery quickly to remove the bladder cancer. Once it was removed he followed up to ensure dad was doing well. He is very direct but always asks if we have any questions. He’s not there to be dads friend he is there to improve his health. I would recommend him for anyone who needs a doctor who is straight up.

HIS FINGER HURT ME BAD

I had read reviews prior to my visit to Dr Sharpiro. and already knew I was in for a very unpleasant visit. I was delighted after my visit to say I had a great Dr caring for me. he was pleasantly professional and personally a very caring person. he made me feel at ease right from the moment he shook my hand and introduced himself. after talking some about what brought me to him.and all the test he needed to do were finished we discussed options.I would like to thank him for letting me be a part of that. my experiences with specialist are it is only one way theirs. Dr Sharpiro, his nurse and the receptionist all very pleasant and helpful. I do not need to go back to them but if ever need to it will be a visit I will feel fine with. he has great knowledge and a good manner that makes going to a Dr a good experience.

I sometimes feel as though I am a burden to Doctor Shapiro--I had to wait 30 days for my lst appt---to-date my uti is unresolved-his receptionist could use some lessons on how to treat patients--she presents herself as not having enough time to help you-I wish my family practioner would set-me up with someone else!

After dealing with bladder issues for some time, (as a person in their late 30's), I saw Dr Shapiro, twice... Having had a number of visits w/his colleague Dr Wu, (and finding him seemingly, somewhat knowledgeable, -though having no bedside manner whatsoever- I mean completely disinterested in me or finding a diagnosis, -even occasionally sighing when he spoke to me... -I don't know, perhaps it was because of my age... -as his waiting room was always full of nothing but seniors..) But thus, I had hoped for a better experience with Dr Shapiro. -What a laugh. The only thing more staggering than his unprofessionalism, (-as in loudly discussing another male patient's sexual dysfunction, knowing I was in earshot behind an adjoining bathroom door where he JUST sent me but a second before,) ...was his utterly unfounded, total arrogance. NEVER before have I had ANYONE in a medical office or position treat me as SHODDILY as I was then, -or with such disinterest and just such DISRESPECT... -much… less by the "doctor", himself?! The entire time I was there the pervading air of this attitude/opinion that i was just some "bored housewife" looking for a way to "spice up" her life, (by running to the urologist for fun, i guess...) and waste his precious time, (-as opposed to a patient genuinely looking for help from a medical professional,) i swear was almost palpable. If other ppl have had good exper.s w/this person, -great. But this is the first doctor that I've absolutely sworn I will NEVER go back to. -And even putting any personal feelings generated from this exper. aside, it would simply also just be pointless, as from the start he clearly had no interest whatsoever in helping me or taking me seriously. Yes, it was a waste of time. -Mine.-Very disappointing.-Proud Mom of three beautiful children
