Dr. Paul William Soiya, MD

Dr. Soiya spends as much time as you need, something that is unheard of these days, so you may have to wait longer than usual to see him. He will never rush you and always asks pertinent questions. I have been seeing him for two years now, and having worked in medicine myself can say that he is thorough and caring. The same applies for his staff. He came highly recommended by my gastroenterologist, and I am extremely pleased with him.

This doctor appears incapable of doing anything, on his own. Diagnosed with cancer and he did not know or his staff failed to convey the message. A truly useless medical staff and we, obviously do not go there, anymore. With all the technology the medical field has greatly regressed

Everything about this office is a little unconventional, but don’t let that throw you. You may have to wait a bit some days to see the doctor (but not always), but when it is your turn you know why you waited so long. It’s because he actually spends time and concern on his patients, like an old school doctor, instead of the 15 minutes allotted by insurance companies, which is so extremely rare, especially in Scottsdale. It takes longer than 15 min to instill trust and confidence in a patient, and he absolutely does, like the doctors I remember having as a child. His staff is sweet and kind, Katie and Pat. (The one with all the complaints on this site is no longer with him, and Katie and Pat go out of their way to accommodate you.)

Carning , compassonate, takes time to understand exactly what your problems are and will take care of it himself or refer you to one of his associate who have all been excellent physians. I have sent some of my good friends to him and they all loved him. Great Doctor and Good human being.

I have never seen such a knowledgeable, caring physician as Dr. Paul Soiya. Be prepared for a wait but he is well worth it.

takes forever to see the doctor, always over an hour wait. the doctor is great, he doesn't have great support staff.

Excellent doctor. Caring and good at diagnosing. He has one secretary who can be very rude and cutting. Other than her the visit is pleasant

I called the office for 3 weeks in a row before someone returned my call. I waited over an hour to be seen and then once he was able to see me, we didn't discuss everything I had come in for before he stepped out and said he would be back in 5 minutes. His staff told me they were very busy with add ons that day from snow birds. I waited for a half hour and then decided I had spent enough of my life there and needed to leave. He was a very pleasant man. His MA was very nice and his receptionist could care less about the patients that were in the waiting room. She would not speak to you nor make eye contact. I never received a call back from the office to schedule tests that he said I should have done and I was charge $350 for absolutely nothing being done. I had to go see another physician who actually took care of me and ordered tests that I needed done. It has been 3 months since my visit and I still have heard nothing from Dr. Soiya's office about followup or tests to be performed.

worth waiting for superb doctor

Excellent diagnostician. He is compassionate and understanding. I read other reviews and found people waiting.....believe me, he is worth the wait. I have every confidence in this man.
