Dr. Paul Joseph Styrt, DDS

The WORST ORTHODONTIST ever! Dr. Paul Styrt took advantage of me and insisted on treatment that was not necessary. During treatment, Dr. Styrt caused PERMANENT DAMAGE to several of my teeth, which was confirmed by several independent orthodontists. Dr. Styrt refused to pay for the repairs and he refused to complete the entire treatment and he even refused to refund any of the treatment fee. Dr. Styrt suddenly claimed that my treatment was now finished, which was a lie, and he became VERY HOSTILE to me. He and his assistants refused to answer my calls. I will never be able to trust another dentist or orthodontist again after what he put me through. My experience with him was very TRAUMATIC. Please don't be fooled by Dr. Styrt's PAID REVIEWS and his fake persona. Dr. Styrt is just trying to take advantage of you, like he did to me. Instead of thinking about the well-being of his patients, he thinks about making himself richer. I don't know how he looks at himself in the mirror.… SHAME ON YOU PAUL STYRT! I have heard from other patients that he has MANY COMPLAINTS but he uses his position of power and his money to make them go away. The California dental board should watch him closely. I agree with the reviews from former patients Carolyn H., C.D., and John A. Dr. Styrt does unnecessary procedures and makes SERIOUS and PERMANENT ERRORS all because he is obsessed with money. As the review from his former patient C.D. states: "Don't let his Harvard degree fool you; all he wants is your money!! HE'S CROOKED."

Zero Stars. The other negative reviews are right. Dr. Paul Styrt does wholly unnecessary procedures to make money. Dr. Styrt is a money-hungry, unprofessional and incompetent orthodontist who amputates his patients and ruins smiles. He pretends to be nice in the beginning to trick you and get your money. Don't be fooled by his fake veneer. If you want to be abused and degraded, go to him. It will be the biggest mistake of your life. You and your children will never recover from Dr. Styrt’s unnecessary and damaging procedures and his constant mistakes. You will be traumatized for life. We will never recover from the permanent and irreparable damage he caused. By the way, if you do not see all of his negative reviews, he has them removed and he pretends you were never his patient.

I was so impressed with the care and treatment that Dr. Styrt and his staff have given our son and daughter with their orthodontia (and children's dentistry) that I decided, at age 53, to finally get my teeth straighted as well. During the past two years, I've been extremely happy with all aspects of my treatment. Dr. Stryt and his staff have been very professional and supportive during this process. I've never had to wait for any of my appointments and his front-desk staff have been very helpful when I've had to make last minute changes. Technically, Dr. Stryt has performed a "minor miracle" in widening my crowded mouth, correcting my bite, straightening my teeth and even "sanding" the bottom ones down a bit to give them a more even-looking appearance. In conclusion, I highly recommend Dr. Styrt and his team to anyone considering orthodontic treatment.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Styrt and his staff. I had braces in high school and never wore my retainers. Ten years later, I found myself needing braces again. I did a lot of research on different orthodontists in the area and went to several consultations around San Diego. I am so glad I made the decision of going to Dr. Styrt for my second time around in braces. Dr. Styrt and his staff are always so welcoming and accommodating when it comes to scheduling appointments. If every I had questions throughout the process (trust me, I had a bunch), Dr. Styrt and his staff were always more than happy to answer them. After 9 months of treatment, I finally got my braces off today. I'm happy to have them off, but sad that I wont have the pleasure of seeing Dr. Styrt and his staff more often. They are truly the best!!!

a warm happy family enviroment where you are greeted like family with caring and helping hands by absolutely everyone!! My kids and I love to go to the appointments. They literally cry when it is time for us to leave.

Dr. Styrt's office and staff are just amazing! I love the atmosphere and how loving and welcoming the team members are. They are absolutely great!

I am Currently in treatment with Dr. Paul Styrt and I knew from the initial consultation that I had made the right decision. Dr. Styrt is very thorough. He and his entire team are very efficient, caring and they pay attention to every detail. I would definately tell any family or friends that need orthodontic treatment to see him.

Initially, Dr. Styrt's outstanding credentials and referrals from patients drew me to his office. Once my husband and I met him, we were quite impressed with his desire to not only straighten our children's teeth, but to correct their bites and jawlines as well. Dr Styrt was as focused on their beautiful smiles as he was on correcting their alignment to avoid any future problems. There's much more to orthodontia than just straightening teeth. In the past several years, we have seen our children through expanders, braces, retainers and a number of other appliances. Throughout this experience, Dr. Styrt and his terrific staff clearly communicated with our children and with us about their progress. Another important factor to consider is his respect of his patient's (and their parents) time. We have NEVER had to wait more than 5 minutes when we have arrived on time for our appointment. His staff has always been friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating when we have had a scheduling… conflict - they definitely go the extra mile. I couldn't more highly recommend Dr Styrt for his technical skill, his communication with patients/parents and his choice of qualified, capable and caring staff to work alongside him.
