Dr. Paul Ian Tartter, MD

21+ years ago I took my test reports and crashed into his office in a hospital in Manhattan screaming for help. I was just diagnosed with breast cancer. He looked at the Nurse's ID on my chest, he did not toss me out but took me in his office and began a workup. I have been cancer free over 21 years. DR TARTTER, thank u for saving my life. This is a GODLY man and a Doctor. Even today I kept hearing his words as I sobbed. "STOP AT THE TEMPLE". I later got the meaning in those words, PRAY. I love u DR IAN TARTTER!

It is possible Dr. Tartter is an excellent doctor. I only came in once for an exam. However his billing department is an absolute circus. Never in my life have I tried to pay a small copay so many times. He needs to hire more qualified billing staff. They are incapable of the simplest tasks.

Made me feel very disrespected.

Ten years ago I was diagnosed with DCIS zero stage breast cancer. After seeing a Englewood Hospital doctor second opinion who recommended a total removal(for 95% cure rate). Dr. Tartter who I asked to do the surgery did explain everything thoughtfully, slowly, and helped me with all my questions. His surgical skills are the absolute A+ GOD & the LORD Jesus did the healing & I am glad I had the best surgeon. My scars are almost invisible & I have had no pain no problem & cancer free ever since. Thanks to JESUS & All HE PROVIDED

My husband found Dr. Tartter ten years ago, and I went to him for my surgery. He was excellent: easygoing, precise, calm, and he had a great sense of humor. He found another little something while he was excising the first one, so he took that, too, and biopsied it, and I had another operation two weeks later. He has always been excellent, amusing, and professional.

I see dr Tartter for almost 20 years and he was almost spot on even before confirming with any mammogram or sonogram...a real pleasure to have a doctor that is still consulting the patient not reviewing test only...

Only met him once for an assessment in dire circumstances. He had great insight and overview, reassured me, sent me for testing to a great spot, Westside Radiology, chose the radiologist, and then conferred with my new oncologist. This guy knows everybody, and he loves excellence. Ten stars. Thanks, doc!

I went for a routine mammogram during which they found something that they wanted to biopsy. I went upstairs for my appointment with Dr. Tartter before scheduling the biopsy because I was past my appointment time with him. Dr Tartter did a regular breast exam and a sonogram. He gave me options as to who could do the biospy (him or the radiologist downstairs). My choice was whoever could do it the soonest. His response was to start marking my breast - without it being scheduled, he did the biopsy then and there! This was a Thursday. Monday morning at 7:30 a.m., before my work day officially started, I received a call from Dr. Tartter himself telling me that he needed to see me in his office that day. I asked if it was bad, his reply was that it was small, we were catching it early but I need to come in that day. I coordinated with a friend to go with me. When we arrived, Dr. Tartter happened to be by the check in desk and he immediately escorted my friend and I into his… office to talk. He clearly explained the biopsy result and addressed my options (lumpectomy vs mastectomy). When we were done talking, he took us to his surgical coordinator so she could arrange for the surgery to be done THAT WEDNESDAY. Dr. Tartter was leaving on vacation the end of the week and he did not want to wait until his return to do the surgery. This was for a Stage I, 1.3 cm tumor! Thanks to Dr. Tartter, it was only SEVEN DAYS from discovery to cancer free! I have been a patient of Dr. Tartter's for over 14 years and from the day that I first met him, I have always felt that I was in the best of hands (no pun intended) and his actions regarding my diagnosis proved me right!
