I had terrible cholestrol levels partly due to genetics. Instead of discussing how you can lower your cholestrol naturally, for example if you have lippopprotein A, Niacin therapy can reduce it considerably, fish oil 3x aday instead of once, red yeast rice therapy, artichoke extract. No you are stuffed with free samples of cholestrol lowering drugs. I was put on a high dose straight away. The nurse of my primary doctor told me to take coQ 10 to lessen muscle problems. ( He forgot to mention that, it did not help anyway)There I was, 4 weeks on crestor, I got immense muscle aches, behind my left shoulder, could not put washing from my washing machine into dryer, could not sleep, 3 advils at the time did not help, muscle relaxants I got from another doctor did not help. I called his office, his receptionist, talked to him while standing next to him, he did not have the decency to speak to me personally, I cancelled everything as a resutlt.I researched statins for days, most people are off… them within a year, because of either terrible muscle problems, or stomach problems.Why do doctors not tell us about natural therapies, Guess how much they make from drug companies, free holdidays, lunches etcI shall never go to this Dr in my life again and don't reccommend him.
