Dr. Paulina Guta, DO

I am currently 7 months pregnant and have had nothing but great experiences with every doctor at southbay, receptionist, sono tech and especially Dr.Guta ! All of my questions are always answered and even when they are super busy I get all the time I need to ask 500 questions about me and the baby and feel so comfortable doing so. She is always so sweet and positive. Cant say enough great things, I always recommend my friends and family!

I’m so grateful she was my doctor during my pregnancy. I was pregnant with twins and it was also my first pregnancy. She was great. Always so caring, nice, friendly, always answers all my questions and make sure that I understand and not worry. I felt really taken care of and in good hands. She came for my c-section even that it was her day off and other doctor was in hospital. I was so grateful because I just trusted her. I really recommend her if you want a doctor who cares about you and you want to feel comfortable with.

Had a blighted ovum that I wanted to try to miscarry on my own. I was only 7 weeks along and already bleeding. But Dr. Guta kept trying to convince me the pregnancy was probably ectopic and said I was likely to die if I didn't have a D&C. Something sounded suspicious about this, since I had never heard of a D&C being used for an ectopic pregnancy. Wouldn't you need the pregnancy to be removed from your tubes? Went to the ER later that day and they confirmed that it was a blighted ovum and not ectopic. All she had to do was check my tubes! Hospital told me it looked like I would miscarry any day now and they didn't feel a D&C was necessary. And sure enough, I ended up miscarrying the gestational sac on my own the very next day. I've switched to a new OB since then and when I told them the story at this office, they said she was probably pushing the D&C on me to milk as much money out of me as she could and was using scare tactics to try and achieve this. Unbelievable! It's very sad… that Dr. Guta is so money hungry, she would lie to patients and try to scare them just to line her own pockets. Pregnant ladies, please avoid this doctor at all costs! All she cares about is making as much money as she can. Not about you or your babies. Who knows how many unnecessary medical procedures she will continue to try talking pregnant women into?
