I took my autistic son to see her and I was so excited to finally get him some help. This lady is so disrespectful and condescending. She was rude and even suggested that I can't read. I have never been so humiliated in a doctors office in my life and that says a lot since I have had my entire nether region open into a doctors face before. I had so much anxiety before our appointments that I would have a panic attack either before or after the visit. The last time, I had to tell my husband that I couldn't do it anymore. We just stopped going... She never spoke to my child only barked commands at me and my husband and demanded things for us to do and bring for our next appt. Stay away.

The way she looks you can just tell she’s judging, including your parenting. If you doubt just ask to read the notes she makes. I dint know what benefit it is to see this person besides maybe getting initial diagnosis and some links and phone numbers she sends after the initial consult. After that you can benefit from going tins me one less judgemental, more positive and who won’t expect you to put a straight jacket on an autistic child to price you can control them.

She makes you feel bad, overly pushy, doesnt remember my son everytime. And still never received any info on his blood work.

Dr. Pauline Filipek is very rude and short. She made me feel like I am not doing enough for my child, she made me feel like a bad parent. She is wanting all kinds of tests done to my child but never explained what each test is for and the reason why they have to be done. Never once did she ask me about my autistic child's progress, I brought a list of words that my baby says and things that she enjoys to do and stuff that she struggles with. At the end of the appointment I left confused and disappointed with my baby's Dr. Dr. Pauline Filipek does not want to get to know her patients. She is not a people person at all. I would never recommend her to a friend or family member.

I have a seven year old daughter whom for 3 years I have had serious concerns over her development, speech, education, and social skills, even though she has taken speech therapy since she was two years old. I previously went two other specialist that provided us with no help or direction. Finally, my daughter's therapy center that had observed the same concerns that I had for my daughter, recommended Dr. Filipek. I was able to make an appointment for my daughter, my husband I read her reviews a few weeks before my daughter's assessment and actually almost canceled considering we were already burned from two other specialist. I'm glad that our speech therapist talked me out of it! Dr. Filipek was very thorough that it floored us compared to our previous experiences. She actually pin pointed our concerns with out us explaining them to her. My daughter's diagnosis was not one a parent would ever want to hear but when trying to raise your child and feeling unsuccessful because you are… missing pieces to your child's story is far worse. Dr. Filipek is straight forward and is not going to sugar coat anything she observes. She is there only to provide what they child needs not what a parent wants to hear. So if reading reviews about any physicians, I say take them with a grain of salt. You know your child best. Keep fighting for what you believe your child needs.

Brought my son in for an evaluation and during the interview she didn't care about his past situation. Acted mean to him. Took things away and was confrontational with him provoking a strange response. The most terrible doctor I have ever had the displeasure of meeting.

My parents brought me to this weirdo when I was only three. I do not deny I was difficult however she told my parents that no treatment would ever work on me , I had no empathy despite being loving towards my parents and I should be sent to an instution like trash. I am now 24 years old, graduated with honors in high school and have had the same job for three years.
