Dr. Pauline Karalis Wiener, MD

My sister received numerous bruises under her "care" at Northwestern Hospital (CDH). Dr. Wiener had a financial relationship with Staff Providers, Inc (Park Ridge). Staff Providers fraudulently searched my sister's house, so the house would be documented "unsafe." Dr. Wiener falsely diagnosed my sister requiring Memory Care (24/7 hour care) when Assisted Living was more appropriate. Dr. Wiener and her staff routinely lied to the family. My sister's id expired while under her care, so both her freedom and identity were taken. Then, Dr. Wiener consulted with the Monahan Law Group, so her estate and social security benefits were also taken. Dr. Wiener is pure evil; she is the type of individual who will smile in your face and stab you in the back w/ a dull blade. I removed my sister from these bottom feeders. I got my sister's life back on track. If you must deal with Dr. Wiener...get a lawyer and take photos!

Dr. Wiener was consistently cold, dismissive, & disinterested during appointments. She has NO answering service - only a cell phone number which she does NOT consistently answer. When I was hospitalized for a reaction to a medication SHE had prescribed, it took two days for hospital staff to connect with her for a consultation - even though we had called her from home before heading to the ER in the first place. When she DID eventually speak with hospital staff, she made damaging accusations about me, which were later researched by the hospital staff and proved to be completely inaccurate and baseless. When I confronted her directly, she denied making these statements, even though the doctor to whom she made the allegations recorded them and the date and time at which she made them in my medical records. Very, very disappointing behavior.

I had been under the care of another physician for over five years without getting any better. I literally didn't leave the house for over 3 years. Dr.Wiener was recommended by another doctor and once I started to see her my condition improved. She actually listens to her patients and changed my medications immediately, which has been a life saver.

Found Dr. Wiener to be cold, uncommunicative and unwilling to rectify a problem that resulted from her prescribed treatment. Would not recommend for senior patients.
