Dr. Payel Banik Banik, DO

I had severe sciatic nerve pain all the way down my right leg to the point that three of my toes and the outside half of my foot were completely numb. I could barely stand because it felt like my calf muscle was just going to snap and walking, or should I say shuffling, brought me to tears. I was in excruciating pain and I was pregnant. I tried two chiropractors and a neurologist before seeing Dr. Banik. The chiropractor would give me a bit of relief for a very short amount of time but never enough to walk upright for more than an hour. After doing an exam, she explained exactly what was happening and educated my husband and me on what she was doing as she â??workedâ?? on me. She showed him exactly how to stretch my… muscles when they tightened back up and how to help me relieve the pain. She not only helped me then but gave us the knowledge to keep the pain at bay. This doctor truly has the heart of a teacher and her passion for helping people shows. I can honestly say I felt like more than just a paycheck to herâ?¦ I felt like a friend. She even called me after the baby was born to check on me and our new little girl at least three times over the past nine months. She cares and heals (when no one else could). A perfect combination!
