Dr. Pedro Elias Checo, MD

Dr. Checo is thorough and accurate in his diagnosis and treatment. Unlike other practices, you see him when you book your appointment. He listens and actively engages with you as the patient in your healthcare plan. I appreciate the time he spends making sure I understand my options. When he referred me out, I found he only did so because it was necessary and not lack of skill. It is appropriate care. You won't choose wrong if you pick Dr. Checo.

Each of my visits to Dr. Checo are very smooth and pleasant.The front desk staff is friendly and remember me. When I come to the back, the nurse always does vitals and weight and I don't have wait in the examining room for more than a couple minutes.Dr. Checo always walks in with a warm and welcoming demeanor. He's not a "chummy" doctor with "chatter talk", but is still friendly. I can tell he listens very well to everything I say and immediately responds thoroughly, even if there are a few different approaches diagnostically. He is efficient and to the point, but you never feel rushed and he remains thorough in our appointments, even if I ask several questions.Basically a straightforward, friendly, diagnostic doctor. I am happy with Dr. Checo and have continued to see him since I moved to Frisco 4-5 years ago.

He immediately prescribed the correct medication and I've been under complete control ever since. He knows what he's doing and doesn't just throw every medication in the book at you in hopes that one of them will work. He listens to the patient, thoroughly explains his diagnoses and the medication he's prescribing. He's professional and to the point. I trust him with my health.

I like Dr. Checo, but don't go to him with a serious ailment. He will refer you out to a specialist very quickly. Simply a waste of money. Now if you have the "what's going around Frisco" flu or cold, then he is just as good as the rest. I use to get same day appts, but he has become more popular and it takes a day sometimes two to get in.
