Dr. Pedro Serrato, MD

Dr. Serrato is a knowledgeable physicia, but his attitude is overbearing . He does not discuss alternative medications and treatments with his patient and he makes changes to his patients medication without consulting with the patient before hand. His excuse e is that he’s a medical doctor and he’s not going to have a patient tell him what to prescribe. The patient knows his own body better than anyone and if he has successfully taken a medication previously that medication should be continued unless it presents a risk of damage or injury to the patient. He’s argumentative and if the patient tries to defend himself he replies with the remark along the lines of they don’t pay me enough to have to listen to this. That is a wholly unprofessional attitude and that is why I asked for a different doctor. I think it’s sad that someone who is as overbearing and dominant as he has had any contact with patients whatsoever. I think he will do a fine job and research where he doesn’t… have to work with people.
