Dr. Penelope Ann Pemberton, MD

Almost 43 years ago, Dr. Pemberton was my pediatrician. Our daughter, Beth, was not even one full day old when Penny came to visit me in the hospital after giving birth the night before. Suddenly, without another word, Penny turned around and ran full speed down the hall. I heard a CODE BLUE call over the hospital intercom. Unbeknownst to me, our little newborn, Beth, was the CODE BLUE and was turning blue. Penny began administering aid. That night, they called in a neonatologist to oversee Beth who ended up spending about 10 days in the ICU due to a sepsis infection. I credit Dr. Penny with saving my daughter’s life! Her quick reaction and calling in a specialist who administered antibiotics is was what saved her life. Thank you so much, Dr. Penny. I have never forgotten you and am eternally grateful you were my pediatrician!

Dr. Pemberton took care of my three daughters, who are now grown and have children of their own. They all loved her and have said she’s the best doctor they’ve had.

Dr. Pemberton:I'm sure you wouldn't remember us but you saved my son's life 40 years ago. He was 10 days old, running a fever, nonstop crying. Our GP advised us to take him to the hospital, he would meet us. He never saw Eric, we were told by the staff to go home & wait for his call, which never came. You called instead to say he was being taken to surgery to releive pressure on his brain from meningitis. At his follow up appt. in your office 2 weeks later you warned us of all of the problems he would now face. We took him home & raised him as a normal baby. His main issue is he is deaf in his left ear but we didn't realize this until he was 4 years old.
