BE Ware !!!!!!The worse experience with this Dr. I had great review after first session she saw us. But right after that things went down the drain. She prescribed 2 meds without checking my mom was already taking that medication in lower dose. and when there were awful dangerous adverse reactions ( blood pressure 90/44 She stops them with NO explanation. Then she disappeared and hid behind her office staff who have zero compassion and professionalism. (Specially Angela who calls herself office manager and she’s not!). You cant even speak with her for another two months.....! I’m changing this Dr. Looking for someone I can trust and talk to ..... BE Ware!!!!

She is awesome and top notch. Spends time to answer questions, is compassionate, and very knowledgeable and up-to-date with current research and trends in tx of renal disease. Her staff has been helpful to me for many years and I intend to remain with her practice for as long as she is able to treat me . I have been in treatment with Dr. DeFranco since about 1998. I have a transplanted kidney since 2000. She has helped me maintain a great life and I follow her instructions because I trust her.

Dr Penny is a doctor against whom all other doctors should be measured. She is obviously knowledgeable and experienced, but above all else she is extremely attentive, caring and compassionate. She has included me in every aspect of my treatment, explaining my options and probable outcomes. ESRD is a daunting prospect but Dr Penny helped me face it both physically and mentally.

Great doctor, but office staff could have been better. I went there on Monday for my blood pressure and her office staff was horrible and rude. The doctor herself was amazing, but I am going to have to redirect my care to another doctor with better office staff.

There generally is a wait time because Dr. DeFranco spends time with patients, considers the needs of the patient, and will explain procedures, tests, etc beyond what other physicians will. Staff responds quickly and efficiently to calls. Patients know they're getting the best possible treatment, from a wonderful, caring physician.
