Dr. Peter David Almirall, MD

As a child, growing up on OKI there were only 2 physicians available Dr. A & Dr. Forstner so my parents chose Dr. A.nWhen a female doctor started working there I was asked if I wanted to start seeing her which was fine. Then as physician assistants became a part of the office I was passed to them. Doctors come and go there none ever really staying very long. Although my visits became shorter and less personable my bills git bigger and bigger. Suddenly I am paying before I am even seen and then I started having to pay 20% at every visit. My insurance has a copay but yet I am paying 20% when approached about this the good Doctor had no answer and sent me to the insurance clerk. The last straw was when I over heard a conversation between 2 employees where one was actually being docked in pay because her parent had an over due bill! I immediately asked for my records as if an employee is being treated in such a manner I can imagine what is coming next from this office!

I really like the Dr a lot, and all of the staff I have dealt with when in the office--they are super nice, very personable. However, I had problem having my prescriptions faxed to the online pharmacy. The pharmacy tried for 2 days to contact them unsuccessfully. When I called personally to have it done, first I left a message early in the day, and the call was not returned until the next day. I dealt with someone called "Pat" who was very rude, insisting the pharmacy was at fault, and not them. Each time I tried to speak, she so rudely would speak over me, not allowing me to voice my concerns. I will solve that problem next time by-passing her and asking for a print out of my prescriptions and fax them myself....I have never been spoken to so very rudely by an employee of a business I frequent. It was so bad, if I did not have so much confidence in Dr. Almiral, I would change Dr.!

This practice has grown too large to provide personalized service. They have an abusive lead nurse who thinks she controls my life. I fired them after 15 years as a patient. There are better groups out there.I also received a bill 10 months after services rendered.
