Dr, Barra has been my doctor for over 20 years. Thought the wait is long to get in to see him, he spends the time to listen and explain Medical issues.

I have been Dr. Barra's patient for 30 plus years. He is an excellent diagnostician, a consummate professional, he has excellent bedside manner and he cares about his patients always going the extra mile to do more than any other doctor I have ever known. He's treated my entire family and all of us feel the same way about him. Dr. Barra was born to be a physician and he has skills, empathy and compassion that one cannot learn. Truly, he is an amazing professional and the best internist in this area.

About a year ago I accompanied my elderly mom to her doctor's appointment. Mom tends to run to the doctor a least twice a month. She tends to get very anxious during her visits. When we were at the office my mom became agitated I told my mom not to worry and to stay calm. She turned to the doctor and said see what I mean. Dr Barra said, I know I see it. It turned out mom was fine. My mother has a history of running to doctors. This has been for as long as I can remember. Since she is elderly I sometimes accompany her on her visits to appease her. I found Doctor Barra's comment very inappropriate and unprofessional.

I've been Dr. Barra's patient for 25+years. He's the best. You could not want for a more caring physician than he.

Dr. Barra was the first doctor who really listened to me and helped diagnose and manage my illness. Although I no longer live in NY I will always be grateful to him for giving me back my life.
