Dr. Peter John Campbell, MD

Several years ago I saw Dr. Campbell for an injury to my hand. He recommended surgery and the outcome was successful. I had some other complaints that had been bothering me for several years, and he said I was eligible for surgery to fix both hands. I have been pain free ever since. I have referred several family members and friends to Dr. Campbell. Everyone I've sent to see him have had successful treatments. His office staff has always been professional, courteous, and friendly. Dr. Campbell is a skilled surgeon who also has compassion. I highly recommend him.

Good bedside manner and he worked wonderfully with the interpreter to make sure we understood one another. The visit felt a bit rushed and he unceremoniously walked out without asking if I had questions (which I did). I had to find out through the nursing staff what the next step was.

Dr. Campbell performed Endo-CTR surgery two weeks ago on both of my hands and the results appear to be excellent. However the staff concerns me and I almost walked out of the hospital due to my concerns over their level of professionalism. Try and follow this... When the Dr's office called to set up the surgery they set it for 1:45 PM. When the hospital called two days later to get my details they said the surgery was scheduled for 11:45 AM. I told them that wasn't what I'd been told, so they told me to talk the Dr's office. The Dr Campbell's office said that was a mistake and 1:45 PM was correct. The next day I got pre-surgery instructions from Dr Campbell's office with a surgery time of 11:45 AM. That certainly cleared up why the hospital had the time they had, but since I'd confirmed the correct time directly with the office ignored the error. Late in the afternoon before the surgery Dr Campbell's office called and asked to move my time up to 12:30 as it worked… better for the Dr's schedule, so I asked my ride to the hospital to change their plans and agreed to the new time. Iâ??d seen on-line reviews saying that Dr. Campbell was good, but dealing with his office wasnâ??t a lot of fun and thought understood, but they werenâ??t done with me yet. I arrived two hours early at the hospital as required and they started the prep work. An hour or so later the hospital nurse came in to tell me that the Drâ??s office had called to say they needed to move the surgery back to the original time. At that point I started to wonder if I wanted to continue on with this and let Dr. Campbell perform the surgery. I raised my concerns with one of the hospital nurses figuring she was unbiased and would know the inside scoop on Dr Campbell. She assured me that he was held in high regard by his patients and hospital staff, but that sheâ??d also heard the stories about the office staff. Obviously I decided to proceed and am happy I did. In my post-surgery appointment I told this story to the associate Dr who examined my incisions, but he didnâ??t seem too bothered by it and suggested I talk to the scheduling department. I told him I didnâ??t see any reason for that as my care was complete, but that he should check out the reviews on-line Iâ??d read and then take action as he saw fit as it wasnâ??t my problem - it was really his officeâ??s job to correct their deficiencies.

I go to Dr Campbell every three months when I can no longer use my hands due to severe pain. He injects them both in a painless way and is very gentle. I will always see him and I recommend him to you.

Dr. Campbell diagnosed and fixed a wrist problem with my son who is a tennis player. Excellent communication and overall did a great job to get him healed so he could play again with no pain.
