Dr. Peter D Cancellier

Dr. Peter Cancellier is a superb specialist; did a remarkable job on my troubled tooth, has state of the art office, produced memorable impression of a great doctor and man. I had pain in one important tooth from a cavity on a side. My dentist decided that I need to see an endodontist and made a referral to Dr. Peter D. Cancellier whose office was nearby. Dr. Cancellier said that he could save the tooth by performing root canal treatment and most important would be able to fix the cavity in a very difficult place, on a side of the tooth, which caused the problem. I was happy that the rescue was possible and asked to expedite it. The earliest opening was in five days but Dr. Cancellier called me the same evening and said that he arranged the time for the procedure on the next day. I appreciated that since dull pain bothered me. The office is equipped with Zeiss binocular microscopes so that the doctor could clearly see canals and the cavity. The procedure was done in two steps,… first removal of the nerve and insertion of a medication. That eliminated the pain. The second step in a few days involved cleaning and filling the canals and patching the cavity. That took a great effort on Dr. Cancellier part. He was very persistent in making a thorough job, which took more than 2 hours. His assistant Cheryl was helping all the way. I left with fixed tooth, saved bridge and feeling that Dr. Cancellier is a great professional, highly educated, experienced, skillful and courageous enough to take on a complicated non-standard case. The X ray images of the tooth before and after looked fascinating to me. I said that I would like to show them to my grandson, so he e-mailed me a few pictures along with the report on what he did. I think he liked the job himself. I am forgetting about the pain and the tooth but appreciate that I can do so because of superb job Dr. Cancellier ("Peter") has done.
