Dr. Peter Joseph Catalano, MD

This office performed a surgery on my sinuses three years ago and my condition has been worsening over time since the operation. An ENT team at a more reputable hospital said that this operation did far more harm than good, and my sinuses will need reconstruction. Wouldn’t wish that my worst enemy visit this man. Stay away.

I would never recommend Dr Catalano to anybody else. I felt that I was being pushed to schedule a sinus surgery without any consideration given to other approaches. The office performed allergy tests on me despite the fact that I had told them that I was on Benadryl. Finally, I have tried to get copies of my test results from Catalano's office for over a month without success. I did receive over $1000 worth of bills and a collection call on those bills very promptly!

I traveled from out of state to bring my daughter to Dr Catalano for sinus surgery. Highly recommend! Her sleep apnea was cured and she is breathing so much better! He is extremely personable and his answers to my questions were easily understood.

my r.i. dr has recommended dr. catalano for the latera implant proceedure, however my r.i. bcbs insurance does not yet cover this proceedure and i would seriously consider having it done and paying for it myself depending on the total cost. would you please give me a rough idea of the total cost including the surgeons cost, the anesthesiologist ,the out patient use of the operating room and any other relative cost associated with this proceedure so i can consider having it done . thank you.

After years of stuffy nose that was worsening to the point of poor sleep quality, (and after several years on allergy meds) I saw his description of bi-turbinate reduction procedure and the -more- than satisfying results. Search You Tube: Peter Catalano + bi-turbinate reduction. I have had the surgery, and I breathe freely now without any more Claritin D! Both he, his staff, and hospital won high marks with me. Dr. Catalano was my doctor at Mt. Sinai in NYC. I was a scared woman that thought she was going crazy. He diagnosed Menieres Disease. He try treating me with just meds. Medicines did not work. Ended up having to do nerve resection. He was very helpful in helping me understand this terrible disease and how to live with it.

I was referred to Dr Catalano from my Primary Care physician for a soft mass on my throat/voice box. I was very afraid but after reading all of Dr. Catalano's awards, Most Compassionate Doctor, Best ENT Surgeon on Boston and America I knew I was in the best hands. He certainly lives up to his awards, calming, explanative, and very thorough. I just can't say enough about his demeanor and I have had some doctors where their credentials are notable but their interpersonal skills are zero. Certainly not the case with this doc. After surgery he personally met with my husband in a private room to discuss the outcome of the surgery. If the rating scale is a 10 for the best, this doc would be a 12!!!! Waited about 2 months for the surgery date but it was not a life threatening condition and worth every bit of the wait! Outstanding doctor in all sense of the word!!!

I suffered with Meniere's disease for years -- incredible noise in my ears debilitating dizzy spells and nausea. Dr. Catalano did a lymphatic sac decompression on me and I had my life back. The surgery was a God send for me and my family.

Dr. Catalano is the best. He corrected my deviated septum in the 1990's and again helped me in 2010 with Sinuplasty. He is caring, extremely knowledgeable, and the only doctor I would allow to operate on me. Dr. Catalano thinks outside the box in order to help. I recommend him highly! ( FYI- I travel from Pennsylvania to see him in MA.)

This Doctor is well hyped, but a terrible surgeon! There is no way of him ever avoiding surgery for you! HE has performed 6 ear operations on me with no improvement!!
