Excellent physican! He will "tell it like it is" even if you don't want to hear it. I am 64 years old and have been seeing him for about 15 years and he has always personally returned all my calls himself. That kind of doctor is a rarity. He is great! As my husband says"he don't take no crap"! You tell him the truth and he will do everything in his power to get you well.

Great doctor. He has been my primary care doctor for over 20 years. His staff is always very nice and have a caring attitude.

I have been racked with pain for nearly 9 weeks. Displeased with how my primary care doctor has handled the situation as well as the terrible neurologist he referred me to (just wanting to give me pain meds rather than finding a real solution), my husband and I did our research and found Dr. Diaz as one of the top primary care doctors around. I've seen several specialists and had all kinds of scans, tests, and work-ups of all kinds. We wanted to find a new primary care doctor for both of us generally, but also to oversee everything going on with me. We wanted a good primary care doctor to act as an 'umbrella' for all of my specialists, a central point, for all the specialists to be able to report back to (as should be the role of a primary care doc.) We hoped to find this, and we hoped to find someone to be a primary care doctor for our family long into the future. We were elated this morning when, after speaking with his office and explaining the situation, we were set up for an… appointment next week!!! Awesome! Then... later this afternoon, his office manager called me to say that my appointment was cancelled because they did some kind of screening and I a) had seen too many doctors and b) had been prescribed too many controlled substances. Wow. Without even meeting me! All I wanted was an appointment. A primary care doctor. I don't take any pain medication! He wouldn't even see me for a first appointment or look into my situation with a consult. Nope - just accused me of being a drug addict and cancelled my appointment! I guess you can't go see him if you've been to too many doctors. I guess you can't go see him if you've been prescribed pain meds. In fact, it looks as though he just doesn't want to deal with anyone who is sick. He just doesn't want a complicated case. I spoke with Piedmont management - they said they couldn't do much, as he is in private practice (not actually working for the hospital), but they were appalled, and they set me up with their top internist - and wow! - it all worked out for the best. Dr. Diaz is the best doctor I've ever gone to. He is efficient, caring and intellectually curious. He really listens to his patients and takes their concerns seriously. He diagnosed my daughter with an obscure disease when everyone else gave up on her and treated her like she was crazy. He has pulled me through many an illness. I absolutely love him.

When you call Dr. Diaz's office a human being will answer the phone. You will not have to talk to an answering machine or push a buttone to get to the person you need. His staff is kind, courteous and professional both on the phone and in person. He runs the office himself and it shows. Dr. Diaz takes time to hear my concerns and to fully explain his assessment and plan. He is caring and candid. He is very good to return calls promptly. There just aren't many left like Dr. Diaz and his staff any more.

I feel I was blessed the day I was referred to Dr. Diaz in 1995. He is patient and knows how to treat people. He is sincere. He actually listens and explains so that you understand everything. I have seen his heartfelt compassion personally, especially when he treated my brother. He is so good about returning phone calls, I don't know how he does it. His staff is fabulous, too.

I've been a patient for 15 years and am very, very happy with Dr. Diaz. He is easy to talk to, takes plenty of time, and unlike another review, I really appreciate his thoroughness in explaining things. I feel like he really cares what is going on with my physical condition and looks at the whole picture instead of just the pieces.

If I were to have written a review for every experience I've ever had with Dr. Diaz and/or his staff, each and every time, it would be 5 stars across the board. That is saying a tremendous amount about this man and his fantastic office, because I have been seeing Dr. Diaz for something like 17 years now. I hear from others how their doctors take forever to return a phone call when they are so sick and need answers. This makes me so appreciative of Diaz and company! Apart from professional excellence, Dr. Diaz is quite simply a wonderful person anyone would be enriched to know. Out of all the doctors I've seen throughout my 52 years, Dr. Diaz and his consistently incredible friendly staff .. easily stand head and shoulders above the rest.
