Dr. Peter Samo Dovgan, MD

Very unprofessional staff & dr. Talked politics while I was having procedure. May-Thurner's is what I have been found to have. My DVT in left leg of 30 years made my femoral vein very narrow. He recommended removing superficial saphenous vein. This should NEVER be done with poor femoral flow. It was needed to help the flow, and my thigh ballooned very much afterward. His staff & he talked politics while I was having this wrong procedure. He entered my leg at the wrong point, re-entered at correct point, never apologizing. He may be good for varicose veins. NOTHING ELSE. DO not put your vein health in his hands. You will strongly regret it, and damage done.

All I can say is that the venus reflux surgery doesn't always work. I had swollen feet with many spider veins and opted for the surgery. The staff took every precaution with tests and ultrasounds before the procedure. My veins were very small so the latest and greatest process was not used. At the end of the process I had no change in my condition and they pretty much said "sorry". Dr Dovgan may be a great surgeon, but when he's done, he's done. He only meets with you once in the beginning and on the day of surgery. Doesn't ever meet with you again.... Wish it would have worked, lots of time and money, no results :(

Had several veins ablated by Dr. Dovgan. Impressed by this procedure, the equipment, protocol and the meticulous attention to detail in his OR. The OR staff worked well as a team, were friendly and very competent. Excellent follow-up post procedure; no complications. Would highly recommend this doctor for the radiofrequency ablation procedure.

The only time I spoke to Dr. Dovgan was when he marked up the vein areas on my leg. The staff in the operating room adjusted the sheets on the operating table so I couldn't see the surgery. Then they proceeded to talk amongst themselves about their personal lives at the foot of the bed and never once spoke to me or asked how I was doing. Then Dr. Dovgan came in and never said "Hi, how are you doing", or "We're going to start now". He said nothing but just started the surgery which was torture from start to finish!! Then when he was done, he just left the room and never said another word to me or came out to speak to my husband. When checking out, the Spanish girl at the front desk handed me my return schedule of visits, and my husband and I left. Upon returning home, I noticed the girl handed me someone else's schedule that had her name and birth date on it. So much for HIPPA. I just wonder who got my schedule!!!

I was the only next of kin to my mother. I never received any call after her amputation surgery. I just found out yesterday from the doctor in LTC facility about a blood clot in her leg. Very Very unprofessional!

I went in for a simple procedure for schlerotherapy which I have had done numerous times out of state before I relocated to Florida. I have at least 6 burns, one which became ulcerated and i had to go to a burn and wound clinic. The doctor falsified documents as well. Run, Don't Walk, Away from this doctor. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Society for Vascular Surgery.

I have been coming to the office for several years and like Dr. Dovgan quite a bit. However there has been a turn in the wrong direction as far as his staff are concerned. I did not care for the front staff at recent visit and what's worse all the other clinic staff in the back has seemed to changed too-NOT FOR THE BETTER! Not real impressed by the changes but trust the Doctor.

VERY AWESOME DOCTOR...ALOT OF STAFF CHANGES IN FRONT...HAD A YOUNG SPANISH IRL VERY UNDERSTANDABLE, HELPED PATIENTS ALOT AND NO LONGER...MY RECOMENDATION IS TRY TO KEEP THE GOOD PEOPLE, BUT OTHER THAN THAT GREAT DOCTOR AND GOOD BEDSIDE MANNERS

Not a friendly Doctor (Dovgan), but I wasn't there for a church social. He did a good job but was short and insulting.
