Dr. Peter Alan Frenkel, MD

Dr. Frenkel was phenomenal treating a friend of mine. She was without any family and I managed her care for her. She had a severe fall, breaking her leg, shoulder, etc. She had diabetes and eventually required dialysis and many vein and artery blockages and bypass, etc. Each time when there was little to no hope, Dr. Frenkel amazed to persist until he found a way to clear even the hopeless blockages. I am sure he kept her living 10 years past the normal time she would have had. He is an incredibly talented and innovative surgeon and a nice easy to communicate surgeon. I highly recommend him.

My dad was referred to the Heart Place at the Garland office by his vascular doctor. It was our first time there and our last. What a nightmare. I have never ever experienced anything like that before by any doctor and believe me we have been to a lot. We were seen by Dr. Frenkel. He is the most disrespectful and unprofessional doctor I have ever met. Every time I asked a question he would come back with a rude comment. He would talk down on me like I was an idiot. Btw...I am a critical care nurse. I am writing this review because I don’t want others to experience what I had to go through.

Dr. Frenkel is a compassionate, highly skilled cardiologist who deserves a great deal of credit for saving the lives of two of my loved ones. His clear and patient explanations are reassuring. He's a gentleman doctor and a true professional.

After having a very bad experience with the first cardiologist I had, Dr. Frenkel actually acted like he cared and spent plenty time with me explaining everything about my diagnosis. I will refer my friends and family to him.
