Dr. Peter Gerard Hamm, MD

Dr. Hamm was dismissive and did not take the time to review all the imaging to review my case. He also though things I told him were "funny". for some odd reason. Very disappointing experience, especially after waiting for so long to see him.What a waste of time.

I have been seeing Dr. Hamm for many years. He consistently listens carefully to what I say, takes care in analyzing my problems, and gives me good advice and - when needed - referrals to excellent specialists in other areas. Another close friend of mine who is a doctor rates him as one of the very best doctors whom he knows.

I have never in my life felt compelled to write a review for anything, but my visit yesterday with Doctor Hamm suuuucked. I found him to be rude, arrogant, and flippant. Half the time he seemed mad at me and I'm nice AF so whatever. He told me to stop taking medicine my physician prescribed me after not asking much about it which is just straight up dangerous. Also, and most importantly, I heard him joking around with his staff and his jokes were boring and wack. I felt for them as they suffered through it and forced laughter. Man, you sure do like to hear yourself talk! Please learn some empathy and respect for your patients, as we come to you in distress. I'll have you know I got a speeding ticket on the way home, as you personally put me in a state of tension and paranoia. Your office will be billed for this in full and I will expect you to may extra for emotional damages. Also, any trouble I get into at work today relating to bad attitude or temper is entirely your fault. Please… be better.

I'm a young woman (under 25) and Dr. Hamm was extremely dismissive. He did not listen to anything I said and even when my breathing tests came back abnormal, he insisted I had "performed" the tests to fake results (no one I spoke to understood how that could be possible) and that I was just out of shape. He was very condescending when explaining me this theory, even after I provided evidence refuting it. When I went in for a follow up, he advised me to exercise more, saying I should "get that form-fitting spandex" and go jogging "like the other young women." He then proceeded to look at me, but not at my face, for the majority of the rest of the appointment. He did not seem to understand why I was making a face, and the family member attending the consult with me had to address how a comment about how I should wear tighter clothes (which have no medical relevance at all) is off-putting. Because yes, he did do this in front of a family member. I will absolutely be looking for a new… doctor ASAP. I cannot recommend enough that you do as well.

I've been waiting for my appt from CCPA for the past week and they just cancelled the appt saying that he is NOT taking new patients because he is afraid of COVID19. My problem is chronic and not related to the virus. I would not use this practice and find another. I am also a medical doctor

Awful doctor!!!! He was cold, uninformative, no bedside manner, a little time spent with patient as possible, poor insights, condisending and those are just to name a few. This “Doctor” should never be allowed to have interactions with patients or their families
