Before choosing Dr. Hanson as my surgeon, I had gone to about seven or eight surgeons. Although these doctors were considered top in their field, no one could compare with Dr. Hanson. Not only is he an extremely skilled top doctor, but he is also a caring and compassionate person. Both factors are equally important to me. Everyone at his office, from start to finish, Was a reflection of Dr. Hanson himself. From his PA’s, Patrick and Kalie, nurse Ken and Millie, Dr. Hansen’s scheduler, they were all very caring and concerned about my well-being. Within about 4 to 5 hours after surgery, I was able to put full weight on my replaced hip. I never needed a painkiller passed a couple Tylenols. I am headed in for my second hip to be done in a few weeks and never did I think that I would actually be excited for surgery. I am unbelievably confident that the right hip will be just as good as the left and I attribute all of that to Dr. Hanson and his amazing team. Thanks to you all!!!!

Dr. Hanson replaced my hip joint. I"m 65. He is easy to talk to, treats the nurses well, and did a great job. I was out of the hospital on the 3rd day walking and going up and down stairs using a walker. The anterior approach is the way to go. The scar is only 5" long and it was glued instead of stitched, so there were no stitches to remove. After one week I went in for my post op visit and they took an xray. Perfect 45 degree alignment. Really happy and if I ever need the left side done he is the one to do it. The only negative is he is so busy that I have to wait 3 months to get in the OR. Oh, another issue others have had is wrong leg length. Because he does anterior, leg length is also perfect.
