Dr. Peter John Hauber, MD

I got permission over the phone to enter the Partial Program at CGC without taking medicine. I have severe OCD and anxiety. I am very sensitive to medicine side effects. I have tried so many. SSRIs make me irritable and antipsychotics make me sedated. I tend to get the rare side effects, even on the lowest doses. I have a history of being put on multiple medicines which are increased and I get worse and worse. So naturally, I am very weary of medicine. He told me if I wasn’t going to take my medicine as directed, I would be dismissed from Partial. I also felt very coerced into signing a medical release to talk to my dad. I am 31. He said that me saying I was being coerced was a legal issue if I sued and they could lose their jobs. Him kicking me out of Partial threw me into a very dark place. I have tried OCD IOPs, anxiety IOPs and individual therapists. I came to the program in a desperate state in need of help. I showed up everyday, filled out the therapy worksheets, asked lots of… great questions and was engaged in conversation. He didn’t understand where I was coming from. Beth, the director took his side. I felt ganged up on. I can’t tell you how much darkness it caused me. How can they turn away a mentally ill person? I felt very misunderstood as people with mental illness already do. Dr. Hauber and Beth need to held accountable and I have already filed a complaint with Mental Health America. There are real people’s feelings behind their actions.

I looked up Peter’s reviews before my appointment and thought well, people leaving reviews have mental health issues or they otherwise wouldn’t see a psychiatrist — and people usually only bother to leave a review when they had a bad experience. For Peter, the bad reviews were entirely accurate. He’s an accuser and a gaslighter. He kept refusing to apply what I had to tell him from my medical history and just wanted to prescribe medication (no psych symptoms when not in the presence of a PTSD trigger). He told me that he felt uncomfortable treating me and that it’s best if I get a second opinion. This was a total waste of money for my insurance company and a waste of time for myself. I was very emotional after the appointment because he repeatedly accused me of lying. I’m a successful business owner—likely helping more people and getting a bigger paycheck than him—just seeking professional medical help but I now have to look elsewhere. Do not recommend. Sad excuses for a human being.

After many years of suffering, Dr. Hauber diagnosed my problem. Now after receiving treatment, I am slowly understanding and improving.

I clicked with this doctor. He spent a lot of time with me on my first visit. The following visits he spent time with me also. He said a lot of things I took with me that challenged me and made me think. He wasn't a pill pusher. But now his billing dept - problems, big time

Very arrogant- easily angered if the PRECISE plan of care followed- does not listen to patient reasoning! Looks at computer during entire visit!!! Preoccupied w medication ordering etc--- Angry bc i forgot to take antidepressants for two days- i apologized-he continued to talk "over me" He has an arrogant demeanor.

Dr Hauber was amazing. Took his time, asked the right questions, never me feel rushed

He has absolutely no idea what he is doing. He is uneducated and completely incompetent. He is fake and lacks any interpersonal skills. When he talks, he sounds like he is a computer with out a brain. I felt myself becoming stupider with every word that came out of his mouth. It felt like I was talking to a chimpanzee.The man is an absolute joke. Do not go to him. Premier Medical Practice is an a joke of a practice. They are an inept group of children. A group of 2 year olds would do a better job than they do. They are a greedy collection of scum that treats their patients like animals. Please do not go.
