Summary
Dr. McAllister graduated from Tufts University school of Dental Medicine in 1982. He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, graduating with a B.A. in Zoology in 1978. Born in Port Washington, New York his family moved to California, where his Mom and two brothers still live. He considers himself a Californian although the Boston area has been his home for the last 32 years. Boxford has been home since 1994.
Dr. McAllister has been practicing in Topsfield since 1989 and has owned the Practice since 2000. Twenty two years has never flown by so fast. Throughout those years Peter has continued to educate himself. He has added CAD/CAM same day crowns, implants and laser dentistry to augment his dental skills. He has studied with Dr. Frank Spears and Dr. Ray Bertolotti and other outstanding educators in the field of dentistry.
Peter is married to Maureen McAllister and lives in Boxford. Their two children Katelyn, 22 and Kevin 18 have moved on to college. Katelyn has …graduated from North Shore CC with a Vet Tech degree and hoping to pursue a dental hygiene education at Middlesex CC. Kevin is attending Utica College in New York studying Health Science and is a starting player on the Utica College Pioneers Men's soccer team. They also live with two horses, two dogs and two ferrets
Outside of dentistry Peter enjoys skiing, golf and travelling to see distant soccer games. He also pitches for the three-time champion Cowboys in the Boxford Men's softball league. Dr. McAllister is a member of the Topsfield, Boxford and Middleton Rotary Club. He highly recommends Rotary as a great way to give back to the community.
